for those of you that haven't directly visited the AMS motorsports website, they currently have a bit of a sale on, i've just bought a brake master cylinder brace for $24, carbon ceramic front brake pads for $24 rear carbon pads for $19, full egr delete kit for $10 and a couple of shiny bits, on top of this shipping was a very reasonable $55 compare to $99 i was quoted for Z1 for same items, and the extra bonus they only put $50 value on the customs label so no import duty or vat to pay. and it arrived quickly too, ordered monday evening last week, turned up tuesday morn by royal mail. typically i've just noticed they now have braided brake lines on sale, all 4 for $39! …

Any advice or past experiences are appreciated, first time posting on the forum. So I purchased a 1990 automatic Z32 twin turbo from the family of the previous owner who unfortunately passed away, and sold the car as a non runner. Lots of receipts etc, well serviced, custom exhaust and a few other small mods, car needs a lot of work (respray, front windshield to start off with) but I want to get it running first. History: Engine replacement and either new turbos or new turbo seals in 2003 (108k miles) Latest timing belt done in 2005 at 122k miles, still has no cracks and rotates nicely. New head gaskets in 2006 ( SORN from 2011 at 132k miles. …

Hi, I was removing one of the front wheel spacers that are on my car so I could remove the discs and a nice chunk decided to break away (seem to be cheap alu ones)... I would like to replace them with some of a higher quality but am unsure of fitment. Current setup is: -Advan Siena II Wheels (18x245x35 Tyres) -K-Sport 8 pot Kit (330mm discs I believe) -20mm Spacers (made from chocolate aluminium, hubcentric slot over type) I am unsure what type I would need. Not sure if the hubs have standard studs, possibly the studs are elongated type? If anyone knows the standard length that would help. I have seen these Eibach ones on eBay, I believe the 3…

I'm not happy with the insufficient gap in my wings west front bumper compared to the size of the FMIC that I have, the bottom of the intercooler is flush with the bottom of the bumper, so my question is, has anybody had to butcher the black plastic strip behind the front bumper (the one that houses the front fogs)? I thinking I can then push the intercooler up slightly so that it has an even area through the bumper space. with a bit trimmed off?

Can those in the know offer a straightforward answer as to the best Turbos that I can Purchase to fit onto my standard Decat pipes, I want longevity, ease of fitment , and the ability to generate around 550 BHP. what I don't want is faffing around to make them fit , or high risk of failure due to bad workmanship. Thanks Sayers

Finally I have time and the videos required to accompany this thank you thread . A brief history, I purchased my Z in Nov 2009, throughout 2010 I accumulated new turbos, uprated rad, injectors, intercoolers, clutch, etc. I drove in the summer of 2011 to Lee Dents in Shrewsbury and all this was fit along with the deletes. In June of 2013 my car was bespoke mapped by Noz and I had 504BHP at the wheels with 580BHP engine power, all with stock internals. Brings me to the summer of 2014 where i had some engine bling work done, powder coated parts, etc, again taken to Lee to fit. It was at this point my engine was smoking quite excessively although it s…

So my engine noise is more or less the crank pulley slipping so needs changed. What does everyone recomend ? Stick with the oem and get a new crank damper pulley or get an alluminum pulley from the likes of japseed http://www.japspeed.co.uk/nissan-300zx-lightweight-aluminium-crank-pulley.html I'd prefer not to hear any excess noise and also avoid having to buy new belts too.

Ok, I'm painting my car with cellulose paint next month, in a gazebo - everything as usual on a strict budget... My Zed is primed and rubbed down, and ready for the base coat. I've been praticing on other parts - nose panel, targa stips, door handles etc. I'm getting the hang of spraying, finding it annoying how every little imperfection shows up with the base coat - why can I still see score marks from sanding, even after rubbing down the primer with 600 grit?! I don't plan to use clear coat, due to the extra cost, and the added risk of screwing up at the end. It should also be easier to respray anything I'm unhappy with at the end. The paint I'm using …

My car has failed it's M.o.T. for corrosion. Looking at it on a mate's ramp, it appears to be on both sides and at the leading and rear edges of the sills. To me, front looks more like the jacking point rather than the sill. Any idea of a ballpark figure to rectify this assuming replacement panels being welded in rather than just a patch-up job? Cheers as ever, Ronnie

When I bought my Zed it was in a bad wày mechanically, resulting in the exhaust being completely full of oil down one bank and residue in the other. I know everyone says, "it'll burn off when you drive it", but I really think this will take a while and I don't want to drive around in a twin turbo'd smoke machine, especially considering the first drive will be to the MOT station... Has anyone tackled this before, if so how? I have access to a diesel powered steam cleaner but not sure if this will end up with loads of emulsified oil in the pipes being pumped out as smoke and steam? Would it be worth pouring diesel/white spirit etc in there and sloshing it abo…
