Hi guyz, I'm looking for z. I've read the buyers guide which is great!! But i was just wondering what exactly is involved with the 60k service? I heard these cars need a big service at 60k obviously cambelt but what else?there seem to be alot of Z's for sale on about 59k. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks. Joel

Hi Everyone Sorted out my steamy problem ...kindof Slick Pete came to visit me and after cups of coffee and a new rubber hose problem was alleviated :bow: Got in the car to go to lunch to celebrate, dreaded steam is now coming out of my vents ... looks like the heater matrix thingy has gone So back on the bus for now until I get a new one, as don't want to risk losing lots of water.... I'm slowly replacing parts my zedby next year I think I will have a completely new one :rolleyes: oh well... nearly got excited :( Thanks Pete so much for coming over and helping me out, it is much appreciated ¡Gracias mi amigo!

As all of you dont know, I STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY FOR MY ZED but im currently studying Automotive Design at Coventry Uni which is most awesome...iv got access to rare book that has concept development of cars from the 60's up to present day. So since we all love the Zed i thought id go very much out my way to get all the info for you all....as far as im concerned they picked the best design out of all of them.....

...and i'm not giving to much away but i've figured out a way to give my car something completely unique and possibly market it afterwards. Was thinking of how to update the rear lights, looked at the venom 3 pots etc but i don't know if they'd suit my car. So was thinking if i could update the technology of the present light cluster without touching the lovely oval slits across the back. I'll keep you posted but should be relatively simple i just have to work out the pcb for the boards it'll need. Basic idea is to completely remove the diffusers and use LED technology to replace all the clusters (rear lights, brake lights, indicators, fogs and reverse…

ME Again, Another problem I had at the weekend was with the cruise control. I could put it into cruise mode from the dash switch and the "cruise control" light comes on but when I try and engage it the "cruise" light just flashes and nothing happens. Any ideas. Cheers, HARTY.

Hi All, Just been on a 600 mile round trip over the weekend to Stonehenge, London City and then back home. I've just had a polyeurethane bushing kit fitted and a strange noise has developed (don't know if the two are linked really). When I am accelerating from rest to motorway speeds there is a noise coming from the back end but it's not continuous. It starts at about 60 and it comes in waves like a wheel bearing gone but in a cyclic action. It's like the diff is whining but I think if the diff had gone it would be a continuous noise. It only happens in top gear and if you start to go up an incline and the revs rise to maintain speed. Also, if I back off th…

afternoon all i was wondering if any one knows who currently owns the fastest Zed in Britain...? im interested in quarter mile times, not top speeds. do you think its some one from this forum or from another Zed related club? I know Mac1( :bow: :dance: ) has an impressive machine, but i know there are other projects going on behind closed doors that are less well publicised... :)

Should I get rid of my red and amber lenses from the rear? Anyone done it? Anyone seen it? Would red and white suite a metalic red zed? Me thinks it may work but then I will still have a red reflector in the middle of the side/stop light unless there is a way round it?? Has anyone got any pictures of this on a car? I think Apache did it somewhere on here but not sure. Help! Andy

If you have, can you give me your thoughts please? I know the engine is based on a Ford Duratec with a couple of turbos bolted on - but is it as good as all the reports make it out to be. 0-60 in under 4 seconds - but do you get a kit car feel? Parked in K2 indian restaurant car park about a month back. I parked next to you in my kitted gunmetal J-spec. I think your plate was 'H3' something. I looked around inside the restaurant to say hello but could not tell who you might be!!

:headvswal I have a rather dangerous problem with my car at the moment, the main fuel line is slipping / popping off the fuel filter when the car is running spraying the engine bay with fuel how this never ended in disaster is pure luck. This has happened twice now. Has anyone had this problem before?. I have not had a chance to check for a blockage or anything yet as its snowing outside. after the first time i made sure the hose was tight but it still came off.

If i was to get hold of an engine, Im guessing it doesnt matter roughly what condition it was in. How much would i be looking at upgrading it and a full rebuild to run 450rwhp? What bits would i need to buy for this and what would someone charge to do this for me? So i mean, i supply the engine to someone, they rebuild it with the parts i supplied for the above power and then transplanted it into the car for me. Im trying to see if it would make sense money wise to do this and just get a mint shell compared to buying one outright. Thoughts please :D
