I am looking to do a complete bush overhall on the front, i want the ride a soft as possible so think i should stay away from poly bushes ? Has anyone done this recently and can give any advise on time, cost and where to buy ?? Thanks

I took the 300 out the weekend for a blast up the ring road and on my way home i noticed the temp gauge creeping up and the fan didnt come in at all.So by the time i pulled over to let her cool down the temp had reached 110 and i started to get a bit worried! How much damage if any do you think i could have done? thanks james

In my UK Z when the sidelights are on the headlight bulb is on very dim as a sidelight, then goes brighter when the headlights are switched on. So, if i install a hid kit what will happen when i switch the sidelights on? Will the hid kit try to light up dim? What can be done to rectify this problem as i dont want to cause damage and I want xenons Thanks guys, Dan

Hi folks, was wondering where the idle control valve is on the zeds? Have a twin turbo 1993 model. Think this may be my problem with it cutting out so just wanted to check it out. Cheers

Hi guys, I'm thinking about getting a 300... I used to own a 3000gt which i absolutely loved, and i've heard that this nissan is pretty much a clone of the mitsi.... The only thing with the mitsi was the cost of running it. I wasn't thinking too much the petrol costs, which were still ludicrous, but more the cost of repairs/servicing.. Question is basically is the 300zx twin turbo an expensive car to own and is it likely to cost me my life savings just to keep it on the road. I appreciate it depends on whether i buy a very very nice one or a crapper, but i was hoping for a bit of a generalisation about the cars.... Any help is much appreciated! …

Hi all, I have noticed a petrol smell in my garage the last couple of days. I took the Z out this morning and saw a very small patch on the garage floor which would have been under the rear of the car. I'd say it was level with the rear wheels, slightly off centre to the right of the car (the opposite side to the fuel filler;)) It does not appear to be losing fuel in any noticable quantity...... Any ideas where it may be coming from? Thanks, Richard:cool:

Right. The shit has hit the fan in terms of life (don't worry i'm not looking for sympathy as everyone seems to be having a hard time of it at the moment) I have no cash and the autobox has given up the ghost (out of nowhere wont shift above 2nd). Its a UK spec tt with all the trimmings. Almost NO RUST, nice new expencive exhaust system, new filters, s/plugs, coilpack plugs, etc, etc. The enguin seems fine (broken dett sensor bypassed) with 110 000 on the clock. It dose have a dented in passanger door and rear n/s wing is rippled from where i wedged my self between two saplings on a wet day but all cosmetic as there was no impact damage to anything (nice sm…

Hi guys and gals, I bought my first Zed yesterday, Neil Morris' black (with added sparkly bits) '93 UK TT with 93,000 on the clock. I drove 400+ miles from Norwich to to home in Dunfermline and the car ran lovely all the way. I never went faster than Eighty and the Zed returned a not too bad 24mpg :) That's with me and a full set of standard wheels and tyres taking up all the seat and boot space. Spent today, washing and cleaning it, talking to the next door neighbour (whose mate once had one) about it and generally trying to find out what all the buttons do. seen a yellow zx in stockton today ... looked nice just wantin to know who it was?

going to get new number plate on the front, as mine is all creamy lol, want a new fresh white one. removed the standard one, and its on sort of a 'thing" like a bracket that goes in between the number plate and the bracket. how do i remove this? as i want the new number plate smaller than the bracket? does it just pull/snap off? cant see any screws? unless the bumper has to come off to get at it :rant:

Its time i got rid of the foam monstrosity on the back of my zed. Now i dont want anything aeroplane wing like, as imo they look naf. I wondered if anyone had any pics or oppinions on what they have or like????? Cheers All

JefTT in another thread mentioned rubber flaps covering boot vents. Where are these vents? I have panels with slots in each side rear plastic panel, but no flaps.

On random ocansions when i start my car my Power light flashes 10 - 13 times. Im pretty sure this is indicating an error with the transmission but i cant seem to get my auto diagnostics to work either. Any ideas guys or do i need to run a diagnostics?

Hi, I am in the process of getting my new zx and the speedo is in KM/h, I have searchedthe forum and read about, boxes and resistors and so forth but I am not bothered about re-restrcting it but came across this This is for a 300zx t/t, I know it will not have the full range if the car was unrestricted but I need something whilst I get to know the car. Would this be simply be a dial change and thats it?

To start with today i cleaned the lady, then out for a drive, 1pm - Drive By turns up at mine in his black NA, after a chat i had to go out. 3pm - driving home and see ATlast in front of me in his White NA, have a little mess about and say hello. 3.15pm only a mile after Atlast, Marv300 is behind me in his red TT, stop and have a chat. To finish it off 2 mins later near home, one of my neighbours (3 roads away) pulls out of his drive in his Grey TT. The time has come to part ways with the Z. Too many problems, too much money and a few knobends in the community means my love-affair with my car has come to an end. I'll put a for sale add up in a bit and if it doesn't sell then I'll just break it. I may get another one because if it was a TT then the performance would offset the heartache of stuff going wrong but I'll be throwing good money after bad if I keep going down the fast-NA road.
