Has anyone had to have a car VOSA VIC checked ?? What does it involve and how strict are they ??? I've bought a panel damaged Saab 9-3 to do the Barcelona Banger Rally in and it's been notified as being involved in an accident and has to be VIC checked !! The seller did not tell me that it had been subject to a claim - just that he's replaced the front wing. The drivers door still needs replacing ...... other than that the car starts and stops Ok and drives really well. Anyhow, if anyone feels like sponsoring us, you can do so at www.justgiving.com/Kidney-Has-Beenz We are raising money for the Willow Foundation - a charity that helped my step daughter when …

Evening all, ok currently i have a garage at the side of the house but it isn't the biggest and i am looking to rip down the current garage and build a new one further back on my property. As my back garden is raised i plan to excavate some of it and build a garage then top the garage with decking so as not to lose any space ( if that makes sense? ). Now my question is how big is everyones garage and is there ample space for manovering around your zed?? Want to have room for tools and workspace etc.

Does this sound like the bearings are shot? Ignore the dog squeeking its toy at the start, the noise starts after the 9 second mark and only just started yesterday.

My Zed sold today to a lovely chap whose gonna love it and appreciate her and continue its legacy. He's further north than me so sadly I'm never going to see it flying around but I'm glad it's gone to a good home. I've recommended this site for help, advice and banter so hopefully you'll have a new member in due course. Thanks all for the banter and advice and I wish you all well. Sad times

Hi Guys, got a problem, i went to the gov website to check the MOT status of one of my cars, i put in the reg and code from the V5 (Cant find MOT) well the reply came back as Error: We are unable to process your request because the vehicle you searched for has no test that can be reported. "well you aint got an MOT" i here you all shout. BUT i am POSITIVE i went last sept and got one, the tax was obtained in Dec 2012, and when i try to obtain a tax disc, the check it makes for Ins and MOT comes back clear. Any suggestions?, i am going down to the garage to see if i can get a copy tomorrow but just wondered tonight if any explanations can be found. Ch…

Hi guys, been having problems verifying my mot status with the gov website checker, here http://motinfo.direct.gov.uk/interne...us-Request.jsp as a test to see if its a BIG problem, or just one with my local garages MOT PC, can some of you do a check on your mot on the mot checker page , just the car reg and the V5 doc ref numbers, not the mot ref. let me know if any of you get an error or whether it comes back okay. BIG thanks. Rich

I need a part worn (for me old BMW 728i, not a Zed). Aren't most (higher speed rating) tyres directional? Most look asymetric too. Does that mean I need a specific nearside or offside fitment?

My mum's got a Qashqai. There's a noise from the steering, she notices it at low speed at full lock / near full lock (dunno if she really knows what full lock means but you get the picture!). The local Nissan dealer has had it in twice to fix the problem and failed. can anyone recommend an independent garage near Dundee who might have a good go at sorting it for her?

Right, I work for a call centre and we are going to be fitting new systems in a new premises shortly. What I need to know is the load limit for earth leakage and how many pc's I can put on a circuit. As a guide I know 240v x 32amps gives me wattage and at that only 80% is a safety margin to use so about 6144 watts per 32amp breaker. we are going to have three pods of 12 pc's each with a maximum wattage of 255 with no other devices. 6 pc's per side will connect in a daisy chain style to a 13amp plug which I think is safe and 10 would be my limit. I plan to split the pods each having its own 32amp breaker so max 12 pc's per circuit. Is all…

Bit of a weird one today, my 4s decided on its own (and I mean on its own) that it wanted to remove all of my contacts. I looked at it this morning and all was well, left the phone in the van came back a couple of hours later and no contacts in the phone! I dont have icloud, (although on the advice of other sites and in vain I have signed up to it and tried turning contact sync on and of but no better) I only have one hotmail account on the phone, that is set to NOT sync contacts and its been like that for a year or more. I'm away from home at the moment and don't have any acess to a backup from the computer although its going to be out of date anyway but i…

I don't know any costs but if your car's got a crap paint job, this is much easier than a respray. It's not 100% permanent but easy to patch up, just peel and start again and love the fact you don't need to mask around the lights/windows etc) Not too interested in the matt black but gloss white looks pretty good and they do an orange/blue matt as well!
