  3. Goes to... Me! The other day I noticed water on my garage floor. Convinced my z ed is leaking I post here for help, and get myself booked into zedworld. After talking to Scubie tonight, I realise I am filling my water...... into the overflow pipe for the expansion tank. my water was topped right up, and it leaked because I always let my car warm up for a few minutes before driving off to get up to tempreture (oh yes, a very careful zed owner here) the fully topped up rediator just dumped the excess water on my garage floor via the overflow. DOH! :headvswal now all I need to do is work out how to fill my oil via that little tube on the side o…

Ok, today was the day that i finally took the zed to a specialist. I took it to Jeff at Zedworld, I have to say what a good bloke he is, and not to forget his son either, another top lad. He's sorted my idle issues out, temp sender, gave the zed an assesment and conzult, boost leak check, throttle balance, timing, base idle. Also looked at my oil leak. He also done a compression test for me. the result started off looking mint, cylinders 1 & 3 both came out at 160psi :D , number 2 then came out at 165 :hyper: (all still looking mint). Then we get to number 4  and would anyone like to take a guess as to what it was????? 58psi :headv…

Guys, i've been given an impossible task at the moment. For our club to have a DVD to play at JAE i need to make a ten minute long video and master it to DVD in the next week. I've already made one plea about 4 weeks ago, nobody replied so i have to ask again otherwise our club dvd is just going to consist of a video of the northern meet footage, about 1 mins worth of people dancing at the PJs BBQ and about 30 secs footage of T-Pot going round Castle Combe. Can people please send me some video for the dvd. Phone footage isn't going to be a good enough resolution to master to dvd but anything else would be gratefully accepted. If you have anything, footage…

A little long winded, but here is why I am a VERY proud dad today... My daughter is 12, and lives with her mum, 2 years ago, she was in a car accident and suffered damage to her back, now it's not a very serious complaint, but it does give her a LOT of pain, and walking for long times, results in a lot of pain. She came to my house dinner time today, to give me a fathers day card and gift. She was dressed in a track suit, and had a number on her front, and my uncles name on her back. Some of you may recall, that a couple of months ago, my uncle died from cancer 12 weeks after being diagnosed. My daughter had done a sponsored walk of 5 kilometers i…

Hi everyone, Looking to buy a house and have been recommended to use rightmove.co.uk. However, having just used it, and now waiting for my blood pressure to gently fall back to more normal levels, I've kind of come to the conclusion that the search facility on it is really crap. They give some excuse related to postcodes as to why this is so in their online help, but to be honest they might as well just come right out with it and say, "we were too cheap to hire a programmer clever enough to solve this really not terribly hard to solve problem." .... Hmm, I think I'm still a bit irritated, you can probably tell. The reason I'm so irritated is because I'm after…

Just about to get myself some breakdown cover, the family car had cover from the manufacturer, the station car isn’t covered but has been pretty reliable, but I guess that the Z could drop me in it one day, and a friends sons Z blew a head gasket this weekend and left him stranded about 200+ miles way, which has prompted me. Taking onboard some of the comments in earlier posts, is there a general recommendation for the Z (AA, RAC, Greenflag or another). I’d guess that if it died a way from home and couldn’t be fixed by the roadside and a local garage didn’t have a clue, then I’d want it to go to one of our traders and I’d make my own way home. Must measure up m…
