General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Well getting things done at last.Fitted a raised vented bonnet but no vents sprayed nissan pearl graphite, also fitted a carbon air scoop.just waiting for a Bomex front splitter and side skirts and a larger vented engine lid to turn up. Also got a Autopista boot spoiler to go on and then a respray. :dance: :dance:

Well guys tonight I was very lucky in more ways than one. Driving down my street which goes to a dead end theres a little nice area suitable for drifting. I've picked up a bad habit of speeding down my street and then flying into this area and practising some drifting. Today did the usual blast down the street and stop at the house, engage reverse and 6k revs then clutch out, drifting backwards in a cloud of smoke and what do I see behind me........a copper! Quickly stop the stupidity and the officer beckons me out the car, then hastens me into the back of the unmarked vehicle which had been parked at my house......got a massive lecture and a hor…

Hello everyone. First let me say that I'm a long time ZX lover since I first saw one when I was a teenager. Now I'm in a financial position to get one and I'm researching them as much as possible. Unfortunately here in Australia there are very few car clubs or forums for 300ZX's. (Lots for skylines etc). So here I am after reading this forum and seeing you know what you're talking about and I am going to annoy you all with lots of stupid questions. :) Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Sometimes I have logged on and clicked the new posts and it says something like "there have been no posts recently" (or something like that anyway). Knowing myself that there has been a post in the last hour (lets say). But other times I log on and there are threads from the night before in there??? Is there a set time that it empties or is it a random thing or maybe even controlled by a Mod? Its not important but I would just like to know. :cool: Please :bow:

Well the weather's been fantastic, so what better way to spend the day than under the car! LOL Pics aren't that great quality. Anyway, I thoroughly cleaned out the arches and the wheels. Dressed the arch liners. I'd previously painted up the non-plastic parts with satin black hammerite to make it all look new. I cleaned up the calipers, attacked them with autosol, redid all the lettering and painted up the non-contact surfaces on the disks. Makes a lovely difference and makes the rims appear brighter. Allso go underneath and cleaned up the petrol tank and polished up the exhaust.

Pulled into my local shell for the 3 times a week top up of optimax and im next to a porshe carrera so were both filling up when two kids come out of the station with their parents and quite loudly say " dad , dad look at that car , its fantastic", i look over and the porshe guy is all up his own arse with the adoration , well he was till they came over to me and started the " what is it mister" questions, he was gutted ...i tried my best not to be smug but i think my grin at him gave it away :tongue:

my car has been at Z-tech for new kyb shocks and eibach springs and what a differance, car feels solid handling is wicked and dosent go to jelly when i touch the white lines. also had new brembo disks and new pads after fitting those crap rotor disks :xxx:. so a big thanks to the Z-tech guys :bow: car is much better now and ready for JAE :duffer:

Found a 1999 Slicktop Manual in Japan with 23000 KM's on the clock.. looks mint. I keep hearing on this site, that it won't pass SVA... but with no engine mods.. can't imagine it would be a problem. Unfortunately will cost around £11K to get in in my drive with plates/MOT.. Recon that is ridiculous?? considering a Slicktop over here ( that is 6-9 years older ) go for £5K Snap it up?? or 'a fool and his money' for considering??
