General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Call me a big ponce, but after a year of ownership I 'experimented' with sliding the back end. I am usually pretty sensible when it comes to driving and I admit I am pretty shite at it. I don't want to knacker the car and so don't tend to boot it- each to their own and all that. But, a few days ago I decided to give it a go, and a have no idea if my 'technique' is textbook, but just went on the accellerator going round a corner in second and went into the corner a little faster than I normally would and felt the back end slipping just enough. Some xxxxxx has nicked my email/password! I was selling a guitar one morning for $850 starting bid and I was getting asked 6 questions about the item? Not my listing! Hope the owner of this car doesn't mind- but it was up on the thread about Billing. I was having a look at the pictures and I liked this back end a lot- it's exactly how I would like mine (not the wide arch kit, just the tail). Is this a spoiler or a skin? Or did the bodyshop just do some creative work? Cheers

Just saw a thread on mileage and it got me wondering,... On an original engine (mods or not) whats your mileage before a rebuild (and we are talking major engine out rebuild...)

Was looking to buy a 318 bmw coupe, looking through autotrader, and saw a black non turbo 91 300zx, looked at it and bought it on impluse, and know nothing about them at all, am finding it hard to fing things out about this model please help. performance? problems with the model? the good ponits " apart from the look of the car as i think it is stunnig"? what can be done to engine and body? and a meet in essex. it is a 1991 non turbo with all extras but no leather, and has 3 different settings on the auto bos that jst confuse me, as no hand book. did i do the right thing

I was on my way to Chris Getgready's last week. Fast lane of the M53 with a Blue Z350 up my rear. Me being in my Volvo C70 T5 thinks, "when the traffic open up a bit I'll pull over into the slow lane and he'll scream past me". Well road opens up and I'm just about to pull over to slow lane while accelerating from 65 to about 80mph and low and behold the guy tries to come up my inside. I thought :xxx: I'll make it a bit harder for you and nailed it, still expecting him to fly past. He got along side me and 80mph to 130mph he just couldn't make any ground and then began to fall away. He looked totally embaressed and I thought what a poor show. My Volvo is no mat…

thought id share as so many people keep moaning about the reliability of our cars. yesterday at work: brand new A class with less than 100 miles on the clock. failed coil pack only running on 2 cyls brand new S class 300 miles, failed power steering. hose blown off loosing all fluid. 1997 C240 V6. front pulley damper broken up, pulley cut through front timing case & sump - £2k worth of repairs needed 2 electronic ignition switch failures imobilising the vehicles as well as the usual servicing & repairs :x:

About three times on the A217!!! He kept trying to come up on the outside and catch me unawares and I even surprised myself by how much I beat him. Porsche Carrera 03 reg, had a play on the wandsworth one way and left him for dead on the A3, coming back on the same day a Subaru looked like a jazzed up one (to me they all look like a dodgy minicab with a bad bodykit), kept up all the way to 40 then it was Taaraa :D

I think I'm cursed when it comes to PC's. My own computer dies a few months back (still not repaired!) and I've been borrowing the folks' laptop (running Windows XP) to tide me over. My Tiscali Broadband package arrived and I installed it and all was well but now I'm starting to have a few problems. It started disconnecting a lot, which I thought might be something I just have to put up with, but now when it disconnects it also closes down all the windows/programs I have open so if I'm writing anything I lose it!
