Not much more to say really. The guy was a genius and a total one-off and whoever failed to give him the England job should be ashamed of themselves. :( Some quotes: "If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there." On the importance of passing to feet. "Manchester United in Brazil? I hope they all get bloody diarrhea." On Man Utd opting-out of the FA Cup to play in the World Club Championship. "I can't even spell spaghetti never mind talk Italian. How could I tell an Italian to get the ball - he might grab mine." On the influx of foreign players. "I bet their dressing room will smell of garlic rather than lin…

I read this on the Soarer Owner's Club web page a while ago. It's the webmaster/whatever's rambling philosophy on engine design, and although I am fairly mechanically illiterate I thought it was interesting. What do you think of these 'edited highlights'? Is it all 'o' level textbook stuff? 300zx engine better/worse? (Slightly different take on 300 vs. Supra!) "No car that has any claim on refinement can have less than 6 cylinders, any less and you have to start to put counter-weights, or pulleys and gears on or near the crankshaft. At risk of upsetting the V8 members, the only Engine configuration that is naturally devoid of harmonics is in units of 6. Straight 6 at…

I was watching the local news tonight and they had a report on the poor sod from Liverpool who has been kidnapped in Iraq and they are threatening to execute him. The media were interviewing a guy ( possibly a relative i didnt catch who exactly) and all the local scallies were jumping around in the background just trying to get their grinning mugs on telly. Absoulte tossers!!! rant over

Like the other thread, but who has the lowest recorded milage- there is/was a convertible sludge brown on the Autotrader with a claimed 2000 miles on the clock. I bought mine with 15 thousand on the clock. I have more than doubled that in a year and feel quite guilty about it now. So mine's now about 32. Who has lower?

Disaster in portsmouth (or if you live in portsmouth just replace with southampton) A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Portsmouth in the early hours of Monday 23RD February, 2004, with its epicentre at The Tricorn, Charlotte Street, Portsmouth. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly muttering "it's mental mush" and "innit". The earthquake decimated the area causing approximately £30 worth of damage, although the world's ugliest building, The Tricorn, seems undamaged though no one can really tell. Several priceless collections of the shittiest tat from Ibiza and Corfu was damaged beyond repair in nearby homes. Th…

Due to my rad bursting I have invested in a howe racing rad, but dont want to put the manky plastic fan shroud back on. Im going to fabricate a full fan shroud from ally which will be a direct bolt on and still have the removable bottom section! I will also fabricate it so that the top of the rad is covered. Once I have made it I will post a pic, would there be any interest for me to make a few more????? this will also fit the standard rad.

Call me a big ponce, but after a year of ownership I 'experimented' with sliding the back end. I am usually pretty sensible when it comes to driving and I admit I am pretty shite at it. I don't want to knacker the car and so don't tend to boot it- each to their own and all that. But, a few days ago I decided to give it a go, and a have no idea if my 'technique' is textbook, but just went on the accellerator going round a corner in second and went into the corner a little faster than I normally would and felt the back end slipping just enough. Did the same on a few roundabouts and feel I can do it 'to order' now. The back seems to go fairly controlably, and it feels quite …
