Hello all, Just to introduce myself to the forum as i will be on quiet regularly. Just bought a 1993 Imported 300zx Automatic Twin Turbo 2+2 in red with ultralite Alloys in gold with polished rim. Got it for a steal (£2k mates rates) and hes also sorted my insurance out to fully comp for under £1k with only 3yr driving 4yr no claims with my age of 26 (on 17/6/10 yay me)... not bad realy is it  I had a 1992 import Honda Crx del Sol SIR which has lasted me 1yr 4mth but unfortunately has started to rust and i couldnt afford to repair the rust, then got offered this nissan. Need some attention as the dash clock does not work (seen a fix here for it :thumbup1:)…

Hi everyone, I finally joined the team, Ive had my car nearly two years, collected a load of parts and decided to attack it following all the Z technical and mods on the internet, but in my enthusiasm instead of doing one thing at a time and the testing, I changed the lot, dumped aircon, EGR,cut off pipes fitted blanking plates, plugged manifold, dumped AIV, changed PCV valves and hoses, changed cambelt, and guides, changed water pump, thermostat, lightened bottom crank pulley, big radiator ,electric fan, dumped cruise control, dumped 4 wheel steer, fitted big brakes, one piece alloy propshaft, driftworks camber arms, 2 sets new wheels, one set bought by police, thats ano…

Hey zxers, I joined here a while ago after falling suddenly and deeply head over heels for 300ZXs whilst browsing cars on ebay one day (I eventually bought mine about 3 months later from a blerk in Wycombe). I lurked around, read a few threads but didn't get around to posting anything. A quest for a new seat belt part brought me back here this morning, and I thought it pertinent to join the party properly. I hit the paypal button, and the rest (all 15 minutes of it) is indeed history. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi. So Hi. :) Sam

Hi guys, after lusting after a Zed for about 15 years I finally own one  I did all the right things, had a good look around this site, went through all the things to look for and to avoid. Took on board all the advice offered. set myself a budget, made sure insurance wasn't too bad etc etc, Then promptly went and had one too many cold ones, got home and pushed the dreaded 'buy it now' on ebay:oops: Woke up thinking "what have i done"? However, being a man of my word i went through with the sale. Not because of feedback scores but because nobody made me push the button after all. I got myself a series1 SWB slicktop and i love it. Not quite as described,…

Hi all, iv joined to the club as iam seriously looking buying myself a new toy. I am just doing some research at the mo into the running cost etc of 300zx, iv loved them for many years and now at the age when the insurance isnt to bad. I have had many performance cars in the past but never had a 3L V6 NA, not alone a 3L V6 Twin trubo :w00t: :. iv seen them up for sale for about £1500, but for that price i will assume that its bottom end of the market? Iam looking at spending closer to £3000. Or have reduced that much in price as most people cant afford to run them, with the current price of petrol? Iv been using the search engine and read a few threads.…

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Been to an import dealer in Dudley today to look at a 300zx, to buy. Was wondering if anyone knew of this dealer, Japenese Import Specialists? The car looks good. Ive never owned a 300zx, and never owned a turbo and could do with some advice on areas to look at, as i am going to look at it again. The car is in pearl white (is this rare?), it is tt and a swb. It has done 60,000km, and there appears to be no rust. I am really excited about this one, and just wanted some expert advive. Thanks guys

Hey, I figured I should register over here since Ill be in germany for the next 2 years. My username on 3ZC is MonolithMonolith. I used to own an 85 NA that was a hunk of junk, but I still love it, and it got me obsessed with Z's. I want to buy a TT while Im here, but I'm having trouble finding them. Figured the best place to look would be a forum. If anyone can help, that would be great. Lastly, is it hard to buy a Z outside of Germany and bring in? I have never dealt with that kind of stuff. Well, I will be lurking around for a while. Hopefully I find a TT here soon.

Hi all! Having hankered after a 'Z' for a looooong time, I decided it was time to treat myself and bought this last night.............. Now, I'm no stranger to cars with over average performance, but HOLY MOLY!! I wasn't expecting THAT!! Anyway, while it seems to be mechanically sound, it'll need some cosmetic TLC and even though the previous owner said the timing belt had been done within the past two years, he had no proof so, I'll attend to that before very long. Is that a job I could do myself, (I'm fairly handy at wielding a spanner), or should I farm it out? I have one more question for now. (I'm sure there'll be many more to come…

Hi all, Having lusted after a 300zx for a long time I have finally got one whic i picked up at the weekend. It is the combination I was after in that it is a manual 300zx twin turbo lwb. It was an ebay purchase and had been off the road for a bit but bar a few niggles it seems to be good. I need a PAS pump for it and I am looking to change the rotten pipes for a decat set with new boxes. Then it needs a spray on the bonnet and hopefully some nicer wheels in the near future. It certainly lives up to my expectation and I am really looking forward to using it. Jason

Hi all, My name is Rob and have finally bought a 300! Im an engineer and car fanatic (of course). The car is awesome, black, standard n/a apart from wheels and lowered. Interior is dark blue cloth, almost immaculate, couldnt believe it! Im sure owning the car will be great, i have got a few problems to cure though, the odometer had stopped, but took that apart today and sorted it thanks to some online info, and the main issue which is a vibration from the gearbox/under the car from 40 upwards mostly. Already done a lot of reading around on here and spotted its most likely gearbox mount and center prop bearing. I live in Bath and know bristol very well, if anyone has…

Hey guys, I'm gonna be looking at buying a 300zx probably this weekend after selling my Celica ST205 but I have a few questions before I buy ;) http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1531897.htm This is the zed i'm looking at! One of the seats has been replaced by a recaro, so I was wondering how much either another recaro that is similar is going to be, or how much does a standard seat go for these days? Not sure if it's electric or standard, though. Also, currently it has 235's on the back and i'm not sure that's gonna be enough for decent grip. Would you easily be able to put 245's on there? I'm not sure what the alloy measurements are but I have ask…

The seller was a complete "#$"#%$"#% person as took advantage of my lack of knoledge on this car and mechanics and now i think i'm stuck with a car with problems and litle resources to solve them. I joined this forum in hope that i can get some help on what to do with the means i have. Besides all i wish all the best to every1 on this comunity!

Hi everyone! Been looking for one of these for ages and finally...one popped up for sale round the corner! Firstly I was wondering if anyone had seen this one about before because I no theres only a small amount of these still left on the road and they get passed about between us enthusiasts! I waited to find the twin turbo MANUAL in black so im pretty chuffed (black leather aswel!). Just had a full engine rebuild with re-conditioned turbos etc as of Jan 2010 and I have the receipt for 2k+! The guy I bought it off just couldnt finance it any longer so lucky me! The car isnt exactly how i want it at the moment. I want new alloys, maybe a dump valve but th…
