Newbies - let yourselves be known

hello all, just joined the forum this pm as I am at the moment in the process of looking for a 300ZX to buy. However as I am a member of the Almera Owners Club, I know better than to buy a car without consulting people like yourselves to find out what I should look out for when buying a ZX... So - can I ask: What is everyone's take on the N/A version - is it good or do I stick to the twin turbo? What is the difference in performance like? What should I look for as give aways that a car has had a bad past other than the obvious? What do you guys pay in insurance and are there any good deals for insuring these cars? I can't think of any mo…

Proud owner of a 1992 Jap import V6 Z in pearl yellow. 109000k on the clock, all the import docs, MOTs etc Here shes is I am in LOVE - had the sweetest drive back from Leeds to Boro - can't wait til tomorrow - gonna wash and shine her and take lots more pics. Oh and drive her a bit more. Gonna pick up the nipper from nursery in her then tuck her up in the garage for the night - if she fits lol Ta for all your advice - you will see a lot more of me on here :clap::clap::clap:

Haven't actually got a Z yet, I have just sold my MR2 so am in the market for a Z! Looking for some tips on insurance - I'm 37 and female so hoping not to pay thru the nose for fully comp so any recommendations would be great. Hi all, Just a quick hi to everyone here, Im new to the Z scene but everyone Ive spoken to seems really friendly and genuinely passionate about this motor - which is nice :) Mine is a '91 UK manual TT, its got a zeemax front bumper and rear spoiler, finished in ferarri red, 18" piaa split rims, and HIDs. engine wise.... no idea! lol currently in the workshop having cambelt and water pump replaced, but according to my mechanic (who also owns a uk na Z) its quick! Ive just changed the pads and while i was under there noticed it had tokico whites on it. Thats about all i know, but Im learning... as things pack up! lol Anyways, Hope to see so…

hi to all, i've had my zed for over a year now its a 1990 jap LWB auto with a gearbox problem ie when it get hot it stops....! so i have done a manual conversion plus other few things.

Hey guys, i'm Rob from coventry. I bought my zx last week so thought i'd join up :) She a '91 UK spec 300zx Twin Turbo LWB. Completley standard at the minute, but as soon as my other car is out of the garage and sold the work can start haha Only got this pic so far. Ignore the odd wheels haha, the rears are getting new tyres atm :p

hello im a newbie and got the z bug. mines a 1990 z non turbo in red. needs a little work and some advice would be great. how much to get the cambelt/timing belt changed and serviced as im not great on self maintenance? also if anyone has any 18" after market wheels for sale please let me know as im after some thanks

Hi guys, Im from Harrogate, North Yorkshire and recently bought a TTZX. Unfortunately, the trader i bought the car from didnt tell me that the head gasket had gone on the left bank of the engine (oh, and he said it was imported witha 100k kilometers....when it turns out it is a UK spec with 100K miles.....). After refusing to take the car back after two days of me actually having it, Its now into trading standards arms and im left with a beautiful looking red ZX which i've now had to store....:-( Im more than certain im going to get my money back for it, and was interested to know if anyone knows of anyone/anywhere that specialises in ZX's? Hello guys ! Im the president of Latvian Z-car enthusiast club, we have history like for last ten years, but just this year i reorganized its and start to work on new website. Right now we have only old website its http://www.300zx.lv, it looks really creepy, but pretty soon there will be new one. Just wanted to say that i use this site really often if i need something lot of good info in here, but its too bad that i cannot reply or edit anything can this be changed, forums says that i have no access to this option.... Anyway i hope we could work together and maybe next summer get all 300zx owners togeher in Europe, because as far as i know there is no such…

just saying hello, have had my 300 now five years since i imported it and has gone through a few changes during that time, its now having another.....some of you may think how could i but! i can..is now running fully forged Rb26 gtr engine and gearbox with giakin internals, hatch removed and rear turned into pick up, full drift running gear etc::drool:

posting in here because i almost feel like a newbie, i reallly havent been around the forum much over the last while because of the following getting a mortgage and trying to do up a house mega stress/workload in the job, but good in that i keep making bonus z off the road, but all work nearly finished, all new belts inc timing, tensioners and stuff, good service, thermostat and a few other bits should be back tomorrow. youngest daughter went off to oz this morning for a year and some other stuff which kept me busy, but i really need to reclaim my 300zx life and get back on here. i will be at jae for deffo

Hi Been looking for a 300zx for ages, saw a couple of wrecks then thought i found a really nice one. Heart ruled head a bit and bought it.:oops::oops: Its a 91 jap import tt auto. Body is very clean and original. Had a hesitation when drove home, eventually found fault to be dirty tps connector. Drives well now i think? Nothing to compare with lol. Got couple of faults to sort out, fan for blower not working.:helpsmilie: Next confusing one, only got battery light come on with ignition, no a/t or any other warning lights.:helpsmilie: I dont think the overdrive works as nothing happens when driving, only uses 3 gears, o/d button on…
