Few bits arrived by courier today... Took three days to get from Georgia USA to Dublin and 6 days to go 50 miles from Dublin To Carlow!!! They actually drove through Carlow to drop it at their Kilkenny depot, realised it was the wrong depot and drove back through Carlow to return it to the Dublin depot, Only in Ireland! After seeing Baz's car, I said I'd try and get one of these also:thumbup1:

To do list.
Hi Ali, doing the cam belt usually entails changing the water pump and tensioners while the belt is off, I think the full kit and fitting could be nearer to £450-£500. Like all of us here, that list will grow exponentially:yes:. But you are right, sort out the main things, engine, brakes etc, you can tinker away at the small stuff when you have the car running sweet. I'm trying to do it all in one go, I've spent a few years collecting bits and pieces both engine wise and asthetically, now that I have most of the stuff, I'm starting with the engine overhaul and then progressing to everything else, I want a respray also but it won't be 2016, I've been told I can get a respray for €2.5k but for a full bare metal job with it looking like it just came from the factory, I'm looking at a total spend of closer to €5k. Take your time, save up to get things done properly and tip away at the smaller bits:thumbup1:

Today's Sports Cars compared to '90's Sports Cars
After discussing the new S2000 in another thread, I wanted to ask.... Is there any Sports Cars out today that can compete with the Sports Cars of the '90's?? Is the demand for Sports Cars gone?? What can be bought nowadays to rival Z's, NSX's, Supra's etc at similar prices. That's to say £30-£50k ( not £100k GTR's ) and are they all little 1.6-2.0lt engines. Discuss please...:thumbup1:

Jap rear ends witch one looks best
1.6!!! WTF, that's not a sports car!!! That's another Hairdresser's car, if a car is a sports car, then give it sports car traits ( power, handling and looks to die for ). This is what's wrong with the world... People pandering to the perceived masses!! What about the enthusiasts ?? If it's getting a 1.6 engine it better be made from carbon Kevlar and weigh Feck all so that it could make a good track car!! Now there's an idea for a new thread ... "Modern day sports cars for the average person, is there such a thing?" You have all the high powered Hypercars that only a small minority can afford and then there's nothing really out there for the £20-£40k person, or am I wrong?? I'm throwing up a new thread to see what's out there now that can compete with the cars of the '90's:thumbup1:

your favorite machine ever made in human history
I have to say that both the SR-71 Blackbird and the Lamborghini Countach were both on my bedroom wall as a kid:thumbup: I freaking love the two of these machines:thumbup::clap: From what I was told, the Blackbird got so hot at speed that the metal expanded, When it was parked up it used to leak fuel, as they had to leave expansion gaps in between all the panels!!! My Uncle Malc (RIP) used to build Tornados up the North of England, can't remember where? and my Grandfather (RIP) was an engineer working for Vickers in Barrow-in-Furness building those Nuclear Subs:thumbup:

"Show Room Car" for sale
Haven't got a hope of raising the asking price, I was hoping to knock him down by 50%, I know I'd be absolutely fleecing him but I could possibly raise that much but no more than that, Was thinking of getting it and either stripping out for parts for mine or locking away until the young lad can drive (5-6 years time). It'd be vintage by then Jay:thumbup1:
