  1. I had to leave them in work Ali, Want to get a bit of thread lock even though we feel that it should be ok, err on the side of caution and all that:thumbup1:
  2. Both calipers fully finished!! Not bad for a days work while doing a day in work:laugh::thumbup:. Between everything being bought and ordered, I'm hoping to have her done for May-June 2016. Most of the expensive stuff has been sorted. Getting a few bits done with Phutumsch (Andy), Mondo (Si), CarMad (Dave), Jaikai (Lee) and Baz, When those bits are paid up, I'll be sorting tires, evo 10 350mm discs and paying off my Veilside Refurb. All this hopefully done by January, Engine going in late January- Early February. Then a final order to be gotten Stateside, a bit of a paint refresh (not a respray) and Taxed / Insured For May or June:thumbup:
  3. Well, as stated in my Help and advice thread, I've started my Brembo caliper rebuild, One down one to go:thumbup:, I'll post up some pics when I get home from work:thumbup1:
  4. Well we're sitting in my office having split the calipers, I wish I could take a pic of them, they're spotlessly clean! The powdercoaters obviously treated them with something as the bare metal centre's are so smooth and clean. There's no seals as such between the two halves and it makes putting the new seals and pistons in exceptionally easy:thumbup1: The bolts took a sharp jolt to break loose but there appears to be no threadlock on them. Have the first one rebuilt, but won't be able to give a final analysis until they're on the car:thumbup: FINGERS CROSSED:thumbup:
  5. Thanks for that Andrew:thumbup: Well it looks as if I'm going to have to split these freshly powdercoated calipers, because, Guess What?? Some Ape has put them back together the wrong way already!!!:cursing: I was trying to work it out off Andrews Diagram and have just copped that I have a small piston lined up with a large piston!! So these have been split and put back ARSEWAYS!! I've two choices now, Get the old set (Donor set) powdercoated and rebuild them as they've not been split or split the newly powdercoated ones and switch around the sides changing the o rings also.
  6. Anything I take off my car is being kept up, ie. front + rear bumpers, wheels, lights, exhausts etc. The problem is that my car is a Jap Import and there's an awful lot of them still around. Now if you had a Tommy Kaira example, that would be a Jap Import worth holding onto as an investment as they're so rare:thumbup1:
  7. I have to admire your dedication Ali:thumbup: I'm still trying to restore one Zed and it's taken me a few years to get this far. Let alone take on two:thumbup: Fair play to you. The white and black combo does look extremely well, but to do it right would cost a few thousands. Stick with it:thumbup1:
  8. So, I couldn't wait till next week, I've brought my Brembo's into work and have one of the lads helping me. :innocent: Having looked at the calipers, I want to know which way I should have them ie. Bleed nipples to the top or bottom of the caliper, Larger piston to the top or bottom or does it matter which way round the pistons are ?? I can't take any pics till I get home from work, so I hope you understand what I'm trying to get at:thumbup1: Funkysi, you around??:whistling:
  9. I'm selling a brand new, still in the box Isotta Evoluzione Black Genuine Leather steering wheel. This is the leather version and not the synthetic one, the retail on these were around £240, will sell for £120 plus postage.
  10. Not a big job so.... I hope:biggrin:. Lee, you reckon it'll work fine??
  11. So sad to hear this, Rest in Peace Martin, my thoughts go out to your family.
  12. A VFR 800  And a clean one to boot, nice find Steve:thumbup1: What happened earlier with the thread being closed??
  13. My plenum doesn't have the "J30" brackets over the throttle springs Andy, i said I'd get Lee's one and get it powdercoated up while my engine is out:thumbup1: So it should be straight forward enough now I'm blanking up the EGR??
  14. I've already bought an EGR delete kit mate:thumbup1: Anything else??
  15. Hi guys, had a quick search on here and didn't get a definitive answer.. So, the series 4 plenum does fit on a '93 TT engine but what modifications do I need to do (if any)?? Thanks.. Richie
  16. Cheers Si:thumbup1: Have already fitted the stainless nipples, just to get these built up and order my Evo 10 discs and I should be sorted regarding brakes:thumbup1:
  17. Well my Brembo calliper seals turned up this morning, I'm working all weekend so I might give it a go sometime next week:thumbup1: Shouldn't be too difficult :scared:
  18. Happy Birthday Chris:happybday::happybday: Have a good one If you update your profile with your date of birth, it will announce it at the bottom of the main forum page:thumbup1:
  19. Wow!! You've got the car looking brand new Chris!! Nice work. We're currently in the middle of a storm over here so get her put inside as it'll more than likely head across to the U.K.:tt2:
  20. Gaz, I for one am in agreement in taking down ISIS as quickly and as ruthlessly as possible, they are pure evil. I mean they have so little regard for even their own lives, you can't negotiate with these hateful creatures. I would also like to add that in my opinion, this might not be the best place to discuss this subject as eventually someone will say the wrong thing and offend people (I might have done so already in this statement), Tempers will flare and people will fall out. I think that we should maybe steer clear of these types of topics and keep the forum open for motoring, be it Z's, motorcycles or other brands / hobbies. Just a thought matey:thumbup1:
  21. Any updates on this car??
  22. Very funny, I didn't know what the hell you were at in your OP. Some people have WAAAY too much time on their hands:whistling:
  23. I think someone here got a custom 3" exhaust from Infinity exhausts, they're based near Jimmer (Powerzed) and look to be built to a very high standard:thumbup1:
  24. I'm of the opinion (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that a 3" system will give better flow and power, I think it may depend on what engine mods you have, I had an APS 3" turbo back system on my Evo 8 and it gave a proven 30bhp extra! Cost £1200 at the time!! My Abflug is a 3" cat back and I've the Japspeed 2.5" downpipe and centre section, I'm contemplating getting those pieces swapped out for 3" also (funds permitting):thumbup1:
  25. Happy Birthday Jimmy:happybday::happybday: Have a good one buddy!!:thumbup:
