  1. Dave just noticed your interior, whered you get that from? was think yellow but then again might be a bit too much yellow! I have got a color in mind but need the car back to have a good play with the interior colour etc. Neil
  2. I know, He and his buddy both said "nah dont go yellow, it'll look cap, you want a nice red one" Fooking red..... why would i want a slow colour ;) (ducks for cover)
  3. ok mate i'll just ask him to do 6 coats of lacquer, better safe than sorry,i suppose. Neil
  4. Funki, i know you had the detailing done, and when i saw your pics i knew i'd go the same way, how much lacquer do they actually take off when detailing? because i thought that the candy was just a coloured lacquer so to speak. i have asked him to finish with clear lacqure but only gave him 3 liters, how much will i need to give 5 -6 coats?
  5. That was the flake, don't know what the paint micro is, the flake might be a little bigger than that, maybe 0.008 not sure off the top of my head.
  6. he's got some lacquer but not sure how many coats are going on, i will ask him, and hes got to wait for the next batch of paint to arrive anyway. i'll get some more lacquer and surprise him! lol
  7. think it was 0.0008 microns or something like that, i got 1/2 pound which was 4tubs,but dont think he'll use 2 pots, but at least it gives me some in case of disaster! i've had a few things made/mixed up just for me to get that unique effect.
  8. i was just thinking the same thing! lol  Well i got 5 liters of candy, at a 2:1 + 10% mix that gives 8 and a bit liters, he kindly told me to get the effect i want i need another 5 liters of candy and 2.5 of activator!!! so in total a whopping 16 liters of mixed candy paint add that to the 7 mixed liters of base coat.... the paint job will weigh as much as the car! lol but seriously thats like 23 liters of mixed paint!!
  9. You and me both, cant believe i dropped it off on the 17th May! But it a favour so he fitting it around his other work, hes also had a few problems, with etch primer flaking in places.... well it's been like it for 2 years so a little flaking was to be expected!
  10. It's actually candy sunspot yellow, over Ford moondust silver, with a lemon lime metallic flake in it. I'm not too fussy at all! lol
  11. Dorky Waffle Brains........ Hmmmmmm not too sure i like that. Neil
  12. And to say it's a teaser is an understatement!, but i did ask him not to show me till it's all finished!it's only been 8 weeks!

  14. CANCELLED PLEASE READ THE LAST POST! Start off where we first said for a day out then a little drive and finish the day off somewhere else, this way hopefully more ppl will come, either to the day or to the evening one! Date....... Sunday August 12th Places, Right to start off we'll go with the first venue of The Chafford Hundred pub, say 11ish, then after a spot of lunch and a few :duffer: :duffer: move on to Brighton as the winner of the location poll, hoping to get there for about 4 ish the a spot of dinner maybe a few more :duffer: :duffer: and finish the day up about 8ish or when you lot bugger off I know there is about 100 miles between Thurrock and Brighton but for me it's a 400 mile round trip from home to Thurrock then to Brighton and then back home again Now we need def numbers simply because i will obviously be around the whole day and i really dont want to be sitting on my own all day.if you can come to one or both then great if you cant then well you cant, And if theres no / not enough interest then i'll cancel it. I need DEF numbers please ppl, i'll try and sort out some personalized stuff as well but i can/will only do this if ppl want it and ppl put there names down. get yer names down below. Neil
  15. ok ok... i'll listern to the masses, you want a party in Brighton ...so beit, same times same dates just From the Chafford Hundrad to brighton in stead,. as i said it really makes no difference for me, i went down to Brighton to pick up the Mrs's Scooby, think it took about 3 hours door to door, so with a stop off at the chafford hundrad makes a nice day of it. i'm gonna close this thread now as ppl are just going to keep going on, i'll start another one with all the details on and ppl can then just say if they're coming or not. Neil
  16. If Yarmouth is out side the south east then i have no place being the SE REO as it's more south east than me The total traveling time for me is alot more than that, evens the REO, i could have just made it all closer to me,but i didnt, i'm prepared to travel for a big meet like this. but i have listened to what the SE east wanted, more ppl would have gone to Yarmouth had it of been on the original poll, so thats where the meet is going to finish up. 3 hours??? i did a map quest from Brighton to Yarmouth and that only took 2 hours! where in London are you coming from? The south West Side? As it has been said before it really doent matter where the meet is i'll never please every one, all the time and as it was also said just to choose a place and a date which i have done. and as i also said if you cant or wont travel to Yarmouth then just attend the meet at the Chafford Hundrad pub. Neil
  17. Sorry Guy's Internet went down and only just got it sorted out! This is it.... what you have all been waiting for :D Well times cracking on with this and the weather is Crap! was hoping to get 2 big summer meets in but that seams very unlikely now  So what i thought was 2 meets within a meet as such. Start off where we first said for a day out then a little drive and finish the day off somewhere else, this way hopefully more ppl will come, either to the day or to the evening one! Date....... Sunday August 12th Places, Right to start off we'll go with the first venue of The Chafford Hundred pub, say 11ish, then after a spot of lunch and a few :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: move on to Yarmouth as i know this was a popular choice that wasnt included in the poll, hoping to get there for about 4 ish the a spot of dinner maybe a few more :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: and finish the day up about 8ish or when you lot bugger off :D I know there is about 150 miles between Thurrock and great Yarmouth but for me it's a 400 mile round trip from home to Thurrock then to yarmouth and then back home again Now we need def numbers simply because i will obviously be around the whole day and i really dont want to be sitting on my own all day.if you can come to one or both then great if you cant then well you cant, And if theres no / not enough interest then i'll cancel it. I need DEF numbers please ppl, i'll try and sort out some personalized stuff as well but i can will only do this if ppl want it and ppl put there names down. I'm not moving the date or the venues, this is it the SE summer party! MAP for the Chafford Hundred Pub http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.s...59081&ay=179360 I will put up a map of the Yarmouth Pub when i find one with a good size car park, taking the Mrs away next weekend so will pop in and have a look around Think thats about it..... so roll on with your comments Neil
  18. 2 Suggested dates up in another thread guys! Neil
  19. Right Guy, Time for a meet that more for the northern SE members. When: - I was thinking maybe a weeks time, the 12th Of this Month. Place : - well i have a location in mind, The Wheatsheaf Inn in Wisbeach, Has a Big Free car park opposite time was thinking about 3pm i'll be at work till 4.30 but wont be far away ;) As i'm the Manager of the Pub :duffer: :D :duffer: As always......... Names below please :D Neil
  20. T shirt...polo shirt baseball cap all got my vote. As long as it's not an iron on transfer type one. Neil
  21. wow the Sliver streaker, haven't seen you around for a while. hope all well bud. :)
  22. First off sorry this has taken so long to get up, I know alot of ppl are waiting to see this happen. Secondly sorry for missing out Yarmouth on the poll for the location, i can see that a few ppl were upset by this, this was a genuine mistake by me. Maybe instead of The Isle of sheppy for the 'put the Zed's to bed for the winter' party we can go to Yarmouth instead. Anyway on to the dates. JAE is on the 20th - 22nd of July i believe billing is 14th - 15th so we need to decided as an area if we try for something before these dates or after them, if it's before then we/i only have a bout 4 week to arrange it ifit's after it gives us a little more time. So the preposed dates are as follows:- 7th/8th of July (first week of July) or 5th/6th of August (first week of August) leaving it late it to august means that the end of summer party might not actually be in the summer! and the weather might be starting to get a bit poo. i'll leave it up to you guys!
  23. I got mine from him and the rear went straight on no modding needed and the front required a light fettling of the indicators to fit perfectly. Well worth the money IMO but then someone else bough a front bumper and took them 7 hours to get it to fit properly! HTH some Neil
  24. Think what Si is trying to say is the fog light switch is in the same position on all models just on the Jap spec it controls the front and the rear on the uk spec,if you buy another switch, where you going to put it?? Alot of ppl including my self have just bought an illuminated rocker switch and wired that in to control the rear foglight, i ran a wire straight from the battery a mini junction box(so i have power in the cabin and i know where it is and where it came from) then from the junction box to the switch, from the switch to the rear foglight.simple really. HTH Neil
  25. It's the same as the one's on ebay onlt the ones on ebay are about £100 cheaper with free delivery HTH Neil
