  1. Im not a car mechanic, but im a mechanical engineer. So worked on plenty of mechincal machines etc... I found it fine. But there is a lot of cables, pipes so make sure you label them good. Top two gearbox bolts are a bit awkward to get at. Apartm from that, being my first engine I took out it was fine.
  2. I undid mine once, but cant remember if it was when I took the engine out or took the sump off with the engine still in, hmmmmmm......
  3. Ultimate speed. Suppose to boot to windows in 10seconds off of those. I would love some but cost quite a lot at the moment. Especially the new OCZ V2's
  4. Its suppose to coat the dirt in a wax so it doesnt scratch the paintwork. Looks great on the TV but not sure in real life. I was going to buy some, but wasnt sure.
  5. I had a P3 at 3.2ghz and that battery lastest about 1hr ish. I recon you will get 20 mins, lol.
  6. I think im upto about 1.435v I think it is. Up to 1.5v was my limit, over that CPU life is too short.
  7. I was gonna say that, must be a tight squeeze!!!!! Your Q6600 should do 3ghz easy. Cant remember if you have to up voltages for that, but even if you do, its only going to be a little bit. Just keep an eye on temps. I've upped most of my voltages to acheive my clock, but for £100 for a new chip doesnt matter if it fries, lol.
  8. I gotta E6600 clocked to 3.4ghz and a 8800gtx clocked. From memory I had got from 9000odd points stock to 13000 clocked.
  9. Wonder what res they ran it at? What spec is that laptop? Whats odd is that my desktop gets just over 13,000 points, but I get a lot higher FPS in some of the tests than what you've posted. Mine doesnt run a DOOM 3 test though, but I only have the free version, maybe it boosted the points from that. Either way its a damn good score for a laptop!!!!!
  10. I was also going to put, that pipe started the riping of my car apart to fix it, but ended up in breaking it and selling up. Damn little pipe!!! lol
  11. Sounds like the passenger side turbo cooling pipe. I had mine go on the isle of wight. Much easier to do with the gearbox off or engine out. I dont kow why they put a rubber pipe there, it joins to metal pipe and is only a few inchs long, why didnt they hard pipe that bit?
  12. Alienware make high performance computers/laptop.
  13. Age of empire should be ok. Flight sim as in FSX?? maybe on VERY low settings. FS9 would be not too bad on medium settings. Command and conquer should be fine as car games. Dunno what the CEK means, only thing I can see different it the colour, lol.
  14. Pull the pump fuse and run the engine till it stops. I tried this but it never stopped, guess I had the wrong fuse, eventhough I pulled the one the manual said. Anyway, I just pulled off the hose with a bit of tissue around it and it was fine.
  15. Well, thats why I just did it by hand and made sure the tensioner was between 3.5 - 5.2mm. Unless you can borrow a tool, I would expect they cost loads to buy. Wait to see what others say.
  16. Oops, wrong page, its 3.5mm - 5.2mm http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=em&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=20&design=default&total=70
  17. Just checked http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=em&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=18&design=default&total=70 and its 4mm
  18. Yea, but I have worked on machinery for the last 10 years, so fitted a few belts to things in my time. The auto tensioner puts the final push on the belt. Theres a distance of 5mm ( I think) that the tensioner spigot is spose to stick out.
  19. I just guessed and then let the tensioner go.
  20. Coolant actually makes water less efficient at cooling than plain water. Coolant is just for winter to stop it freezing, but it does also have rust inhibitors. Water and water wetter is best for summer, but then you have to drain down and put coolant in for winter. If you dont have enough coolant it will freeze sooner. Theres a tool that you can suck your coolant into and it uses specific gravity to show how much coolant is mixed in the water, in tern this shows by floats what temp your coolant is safe to go to before freezing. Hope some of that makes sense, lol, it did to me.
  21. Sometimes they hide the settings away, on my board I have to press CTRL F1 or something in BIOS to open up the settings. Then you'll see the ram voltages. Have a read on the net. My ram recommends 2.1v but I've had to up it to 2.2v to get 4 1gig sticks working.
