  1. Well, I got the h/g's, but have read saying they suck. But then others saying they are ok, lol. With my track record I want to use the best, lol.
  2. Would you use these, read some bad things about them and some good.
  3. I read they can not seal properly?!?!?!?! My track record with Z'd is crap so want to eliminate any popential failure, lol!!
  4. Are cometic gaskets no good then...?
  5. Fook, I just spent £90 on new ones!!!!!! Oh well, go them now. One other thing, I got a cometic metal layered head gasket. Im just a little worried about doing it up and squashing them and undoing and doing it up again. I guess this is right, but didnt know if it would effect the cometic gaskets. Looks like theres bits that crush and seal and apparantley it was a special costing on them too to help seal...............
  6. Get a better camera, lol. The yellow clip should be on the back of the barrel, then the rod goes down to somewhere, were another do connects (the one from the lock by the door handle) Seems like it needs a little sorting out!! Id just try and get it so you can lock the door from inside to start with.
  7. Not a new barrel, the rod goes into the yellow clip, then that fixes to the barrel. you will, by the sounds of it, need a new yellow (apparantley metal now) clip and clip to hold that onto the barrel. I wouldnt have thought that part has sheared off the barrel as thats metal and the clip is plastic. Try and find the rod, I guess its jammed which is why they door lock inside wont budge.
  8. You gotta take all the door card off, then you'll see everything. you should be able to see whats going on in there!!! The yellow bit goes on the back of the door key barrel, if its not there its dropped down cause the clip has come off or its snapped. If anything, you should be able to sort out so you can lock it manually from inside the car.
  9. If they arnt stretch bolts, could you use the old ones again? I have bought new ones, but just wondered?
  10. Get new brake fluid in there. Spose to change every 2 years or so many miles. To test servo, have engine off, pump pedal till it goes solid, keep your foot pushed down, then start the engine. The brake pedal should go down, indicating the servo is working. Is there much pedal movement? you may also have a sticky pistion, trapped air. Did you clean the discs before you put them on, normally they are covered in a oily substance to stop rusting! that wont help pads. Did you bed them in properly too?? makes a huge difference. You want to heat cycle them.
  11. He cant, hes tried that and that bits jammed solid (previous post) Does sound like a linkage has jammed somwhere. Could be if the yellow clip was replaced and not fitted properly, it could have fallen off and jammed the other linkages. They are all connected to one place, so if one jams you are fooked.
  12. The yellow bit might have been replaced, but did they connect it up, lol. What happens if you push the lock from inside the drivers door, does the pass door lock too? atleast then you know if that bits working (electrically) Then I'd look at the lock again.
  13. Does the drivers door actually unlock/lock the door or does the key just rotate all the way round? if it does that, the little yellow plastic thingy bit could be broke! Lock the door and use the passenger door to unlock drivers door!
  14. Tighten the head bolts, then loosen them then do them back up again? Is that so you dont have to check them again in a few hundred miles or something???
