  1. Its a IV gen LS2 4.8 out of a silverado but, the only things that are stock is the block and heads. Its not up and running yet, still need to make a loom and get an ecu. Will do a full project thread shortly...

  8. Well, its been a while so, I thought I'd drop by and say hi. Ive still got the old girl, although its been off the road since 2010. I decided to turn it into a full blown track car with a modest 4.8 Twin turbo'd chevy V8 hooked up to a 6 speed tremec t56 magnum under the bonnet. Plenty of pics if anyones interested ?
  9. it was actually wrapped in horrible orange, not my cupa tea but looked the *****x and once i'd fitted the straight through exhaust, sounded the *****x as well :D
  10. going to keep my eyes wide open on this one!:w00t:
  11. you can, done it a few times with stock bumpers using the correct tools and access via the indicator. it is a bit of a pig to do but, easier than trying to repair the rusty studs on the wings that have snapped off when removing the bumper :D
  12. the size of the cooler won't affect the way the oil sloshes around in the sump. you can set the pressure relief valve to open when ever but, then, whats the point of having a 3 quart bottle if you're only going to use 1.5 quarts of oil that won't lube the internals sufficiantly?? also, time is not a luxury you have on track to sit around waiting, wondering and hoping your system will discharge enough in time for the next deadly right hander. the simplest, cheapest, tried and tested method IMO would still have to be a larger sump.
  13. accu systems are a good "get out of jail free" card but, if you go round that second hard corner and the system is in the process of charging then, there's no protection. my advice would be a larger baffled sump if you dont want to dyr sump it. maybe even an accu system on top of the larger sump to keep it all in check ;)
  14. thanks guys, had a fantastic weekend from what i can remember of it:pint::pint::pint:
  15. that one's not passed through since i've worked there but, the 348's not a bad car. funny enough i've just fitted some bilstein coilovers to one thats going to become a track toy. they're quite a "squashed" car with a wide rear end, not to everyones taste but, i don't mind them. that spider looks really nice. i'll make a note of the reg and see if there's any details on it tomorrow.
  16. are you sure it's not the english police man from Allo Allo

  18. lol @ Ian. fantastic!! glad i could be part of your wind up :D
  19. they are a specific size for the lambo and so the owner was saying, a right biatch to get hold of, speak to arch enemy Jimmer, i'm sure they'll be able to squeeze them in
