JaiKai - MK2 - Ziggy Build
My word, they’ve gone up five fold in price since I bought them in 2014 for $9.95! Get them quick as they’re just about to fall off the available list me thinks!

New Horn - Whats the best ?
The single terminal OEM Bosch dual tone horns are fitted to many different cars and have the same part number. They can normally be had used on eBay for around £10 and are infinitely better than the originals! Mine came off a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and looked new (I think they’re located out of the elements!), but it’s probably best to search by part number (which I can’t remember off hand). Failing that, Andrew has the Hella Supertones fitted and these things are loud and manly! At the NEC we had a “horn off” and it was a bit like the Hulk vs Dangermouse!

Brake rebuild
For reference, the Sumitomo calipers look like this with the brand embossed on the front: And the cast iron calipers look like this:

The seal kit part number depends on what calipers you have. For the front Sumitomo aluminium calipers the OEM seal kit part number is 4112030P26. I believe this kit to be per caliper, not per axle. You’d have to make some enquiries regarding availability: http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/nissan/nissan-4112030p26-seal-kit-disc-b/

Brake rebuild
I agree, I don’t think the biggred seal kits are very good quality. I’ve used them before and still have a kit for a Subaru Impreza in my toolbox that I decided not to use in the end. I rebuilt my BNR33 calipers using an OE Brembo kit and the quality was far superior in comparison to the biggred. They do the job, but as Ashley says, they don’t last in my experience.

What did you do to your zed today?
Yes Andrew, liking that! [emoji41] Did you order the couplers to go on your Robz throttle bodies? Jimmer is going to have lots to do on your car soon!

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
No it isn’t. To be fair, it is a widely accepted practice in the automotive industry due to its low cost and ease, it is generally fine if done properly but an in-line splice will always be superior. I’m not talking those cheap Halfords crimp terminals with garish big plastic sleeves, I’m talking about an environmentally sealed in-line splice (which is terminated using a specific crimp tool). If it’s between Halfords crimps them and soldering then it’s soldering all the way! So I’m summary, I’m just being awkward and showing off the fact that I use these... just because I can? The splices are still relatively inexpensive but a crimp tool would set you back around £100.

As a side note, soldering in-line wiring is not an approved method of wiring on any regulated aircraft. Environmental splices (crimp terminals) up to a certain number per length of wire or a complete new wire. Solder is for circuit boards.

London Classic Motor Show
It certainly wasn’t heaving but there was a steady flow of people passing through. More of a morning or afternoon activity.

London Classic Motor Show
That’s a shame, I also went on Friday we could’ve had a catch up! It wasn’t a bad show but I didn’t think it was great either, quite an expensive day out with its location. The show is in its infancy at the moment so I’d assume I hope it’ll go from strength to strength and increase the floor space in the coming years.

Car glass cleaning
Wire wool will be just fine, it’s what the pros use for the same application. Use a fine grade and take it easy. When I had a replacement rear screen fitted, I asked the fitter if he knew of anything that will remove those same white marks without damaging the glass or trim and he was all over it! It was easier with no trim to worry about but it came off in seconds without a trace. I find a new Stanley blade works well on the targas. APC will likely not shift that limescale, even undiluted with a scrubbing brush but it will certainly discolour the moulding with a heavy concentrate.

Car glass cleaning
Some gentle persuasion with wire wool and glass cleaner will shift it. If its a flat surface, you can also remove it with a new Stanley blade.

Anti-Lock Light
I did wonder. Due to the fact it’s brought on a light, will it not even display a basic fault code or does conzult/datascan simply not interrogate anything related to that system? Disregard - you’ve already answered this in your other post.
