  7. i marked a chalk line on a wall with the height of the light and a vague circle for the main the intesity area before i removed my normal bulbs and then checked the line once the hids were installed... the pattern is at an angle so you can generally get a good match. otherwise, if your worried about it, just pop down to your local mot centre and have them aligned, shouldnt cost much :)
  8. give me your paypal addy and password and il sort it out for ya ;) :p
  9. then it shouldnt make too much difference
  10. was it your fault?
  11. is moving to nuclear not a good start? whilst research continues into alternative energy resources?...
  12. good job carl :D
  13. maybe your engine went on a bender like mine! this was the culprit for my low compression...
  14. :D i do like the way your signature is the hyperlink to your rides... i think that will catch on my friend :) you should have had that patanted!
  15. tbh, in a good way, i have to disagree with you there darrell... i think as far as 17yr old cars go, the Z is up there with some of the most reliable... imo
  16. hehe, its not far off being back on the road now. tbh i did know there was an issue with the engine (very slight misfire) but as the seller sold it with warranty and i thought it was just a small electrical prob such as a coil pack or something i was happy to part with my hard earned! gonna better than ever now though anyway as its had a full makeover, top to bottom, iv changed pretty much every seal, hoses replaced/upgraded, springs, solenoids... with all the useless egr aiv etc removed, forged pistons, divorced downpipes etc you get the idea. alot of that is covered under the warranty claim so im gettin a nice solid engine for not much money :p its also been treated to some 99spec rears, a decent quad exit exhaust to replace that stupid kakimoto thing, anthracite 18's, and the install from my old uk spec, oh and the private plate  dread to see the mrs's face when this months bank statement comes through! happy days!
  17. it is? its not at pauls any more if thats what u mean! it left there on a trailor...
  18. we use that on the aircraft... i use it everyday and have tins of the stuff in my cupboard...
  19. id say... the long distance daily driving and the zed prolly loves it.. short trips when its on and off barely before operating temperature spells trouble to me :)
  20. as scrawni has shown us... track your partner!
  21. yeah, i trawled through that webby too... however i thought as they were so much further away and about a 100quid more expensive the rustmasters had the upper hand!
  22. ROFL
  23. When i finally get my z roadworthy again i want to get the old girl undersealed... at the mo the underside is like new and i often eat my dinner off it! i want to keep it this way... i thought about doing it all myself but having spoken to a few specialist places its prolly a wise idea to get it done proffessionally where they have the proper tools/lances/equipment to do a thorough job in all the cavities etc... my question is, where to go that is reasonably local to me? i have been in contact with a chap called micheal at rustmaster who operates just off the m25/a1m junction. he has done several 300zx's before and gave me a nice talk on specific areas and specialist methods that he uses for the benefit of this car... it all sounded good and his speech had me sold. he charges 390+vat so about 450inc which i see as an investment for the longevity of the zed as it is a fresh import and still very much unprotected. does any1 have any other suggestions or advice of other companies that offer this service? cheerZ in advance...
