what suspension setup did you have before this? how has the ride changed in comparison with that setup? btw, looks superb ;)

i have one of those :D i agree they are prolly one of the best sounding engines imo... i bought mine as a daily drive so i could keep the zed for fun, tis great fun to drive especially on the twisties but for some reason the zed has something it will never even get close to!! i cant quite put my finger on what it is but the smile i get when driving the zed... :D :hyper: that looks like a very clean car though me old fruit and as long as you are chuffed with it, thats all that matters... another thing i will say, youll never get the same atmosphere/community spirit on scoobynet that you get here ;) make sure you take a zed out for a drive in a few months time to see what youve been missing :smash:

yes iv learned that one when i put it together mate... the battery you gave me is so small the clamp threads bottoms out a long time before it clamps it!... :smash:

The battery on my zed is fu*... sorry, kaput! Iv trawled through the search which bought up a thread from turboz asking the same question but in the end he did not change his so no real results. Its seems like a silly question but can any1 shed some light on what battery to use in the zed? I have 3 amps and a carputer setup running in it so i would need more than the standard recommended one? should i just get the biggest, highest cranking and ah battery that i can fit in the hole? should i be wary about cheaper batteries... any advice welcomed, including abuse for asking such a nob question!

red car... dark wheels :D i like the look... but its all down to taste really. before i bought my red zed (which came with the anthracite skyline wheels on it) i was never really into dark coloured wheels, but they grew on me very quickly and now iv changed to the darkside! i dont think dark coloured wheels work on many colours especially not dark colours imo but the contrast with the red is to my liking. i have another set of wheels that i used to have on my uk zed that are silver with a polished rim, they will eventually be going on but need reburbishing so il prolly paint them anthracite :) i did a little photoshop to see what they were like... the rim has no tyre on it so its just propped up but if you squint you can get the idea ;) then again youd have to squint a hell of alot as they are a very different style to yours ;) silver: anthracite: or anthracite with polished lip: follow your heart ;)

my car is now running after a full rebuild... i did about 300 miles of random driving in it yesterday and 'sensibly' ragged the pants off it! up and down gears spreading the load but didnt red line it. she lapped it up and had a big smile on her face!.. similar to the smile i had :D my advice is, set it up for life, drive it like you stole it!

after nearly 7 months my zed is finally back on the, now wet road! wohoo! :smash: :cool: :hyper: with her new rebuilt engine she now pulls like a train and purrs like a lion, an absolute dream to drive! cant wait to get her properly run in so i can pump the boost up and really get the wisecos working hard :) i also bought her some 99 spec rears, a quad exit exhaust to replace the silly kakimoto single exit thing, new steering wheel so i can throw the 'rather interesting' wooden number as far as possible! shes got a full carputer setup with an 8" screen that i am fabricating in the din slots... all in all.. HAPPY DAYS!! :hyper: ZEDDING again after missing the whole summer just in time to put her away for storage LOL!

i think that post prolly sums up 98% of the members of this club... no doubt the generalisation of it will make sense to 98% of members of all the other car clubs in the world!!

like the re-arranged irish plate you made for yours? :p i think private reggies are cool, not into the silly fonts myself, but i dont see a prob with spacing such as this 1... its still 100% legible...

lol i have seen that very car before on the a34, m3 junction... it made me severely jealous, i was behind him at a set of traffic lights just like you are :D i had to settle for my J30LY P but i agree that one would have been perfect :(

they are a 99 spec option me old fruit... not easy to come by but there is a company in japan that sells them :D itll prolly cost you less to get a good painter to give you the finish :) they were also available in carbon fibre look.
