  1. apparently... 'The evo calipers use differenital bore 2x 40mm and 2x 46 mm pistons' does the zed have some kind of a brake balance proportioning valve?
  2. Trying to weigh up whether the cost saving of evo brembos is worth the hassle over the bolt on ease of the gtr jobbies... granted, krsmayo has done most of the leg work so it would be fairly straight forward but are there any gains or losses to be made either way? For example... i remember when rodder25 bought royals zed with r34 brembos on he said that the master cylinder in the zed was not quite up to the capacity of fluid movement the the brembos required... i believe this was down to insufficient bleeding as i dont see any other reports of this problem from many others with this simple bolt on upgrade. That said, the evo brembos are HUGE! the gtr variants look small in comparison... it looks good under the rims but is there any way this could cause adverse affects to what is trying to be achieved? krsmayo has stated that his seem to work fine but he has not used them in anger yet... im just keen to find out whether the rest of the braking system is up to the job to make it a worth while expense over the ye old, stock caliper bracket with bigger discs mod? my concerns mainly evolve around the bmc and the pedal travel/stiffness... maybe im just being anal but if some1 could put my mind at rest, thankyou please! would be interesting to compare the caliper piston diameters from a stock zed, the gtr brembo and the evo brembo as with some simple math we can get a good idea of clamping forces etc... the evo pistons might be the same diamter as the gtr and therefore just has a larger surface area of the caliper itself, resulting in more efficient, better cooled brakes... il stop talking now!
  3. arent they all red down there?
  4. why not buy one thats made for a 300zx centre console... i had one fitted to my old zed... quality bit of kit and looked v tidy... z centre it has studs from the rear to mount the gauge so no modifcations are required to fit other than bonding the nicely machined metal in position.

  7. imo, if the pistons are moving freely with supposed equal clamping force then the pad should wear evenly  sounds like a sticky piston to me...
