ECU water temp accuracy...
its reading about 80... up to 82 on idle and down to about 78 on motorways. im just paranoid until i get my aftermarket gauge in that my coolant temp reading is accurate. before the engine was rebuilt i trusted the standard gauge only to find out it had pissed most of the water out and what was left was in kettle mode!

Iv been using the datascan proggy on my carpc to 'monitor' things lol! one thing im unsure about is the water temp readouts im getting... are they inaccurate like the gauge reading or are they pretty reliable?

South East 2009 calendar photoshoot... FINAL DETAILS...
Ok... we have finalised some of the details for the SE 09 calendar photoshoot. The dates/times are now set in stone so many apologies if this means you are unable to attend. The final date for this is: Saturday 13th September 2008 @ 19:00hrs... thats 7PM ;) The location is not yet set in stone but Neil (DarksideTT) and myself are looking into possible options. Our primary option is Canary Wharf though we are investigating how and if this is possible. Rest assured though it WILL be in that area of London so you all know roughly how far youll have to travel to make arrangements. We are looking at the millenium dome as a possible alternative or anywhere with an interesting backdrop (were thinking it could be pretty as a night shot with all the lights etc). If you have ideas on this please do not hesitate to share them. (we are doing our best to find a location that will avoid the need for parking charges etc but as we all know this sort of thing in the city is difficult, so should we have to, please send your bills to crotchrocket!) 7PM is the time we will meet thus giving us time to sort ourselves out during the last hours of daylight, (and chat... and potentially beat up j1mmytt for a laugh?) we will also see the twighlight hours at around 9/9:30 and into darkness, thus offering us a range of lighting to get the 'money shot' :D Please put your names down in this thread to confirm if you are coming to this, hopefully we can make it one to remember... 1) DarksideTT 2) Joely P

Boost controller advice...
I was told by the surrey rolling road chap that the Apexi AVC-R is the far superior and most reliable boost controller of the range. I have generally taken this advice as gospel as he has obviously seen a large amount of different specs and perfmances from a multitude of ebc's... I just thought i would get a wider outlook from other experiences and get opinions from you lot  in your opinion what IS the best ebc and why?

Ideas please... what to buy in Tokyo...
The mrs is going to Tokyo for 10 days on business in october... what should i get her to bring me home for the zed? must not weigh too much and fit in her suitcase/hand luggage.. my initial thoughts are an apexi avc-r in black ;) but i cant think of any alternatives that i might like  ideas on a postcard or in this thread!

Stock internals
vinz has 555's and bigger tubs... the standard tubs arent gonna be effecient at that boost (if they could even boost that high) but the biggest hold back is gonna be the injectors. you dont want to exceed 80% (i think) of the injector duty cycle and it seems in most applications you are pretty much on the limit of that @ 14 psi. so for a for a safe and reliable boost upgrade i wouldnt exceed that.
