  1. After todays boost leak test i found a couple of sneaky sniper type leaks on some vacuum hoses... sorted them but i can still hear a very feint hiss coming from the drivers side recirc area. I have felt all round the pipework and wiggled it (just a little bit - ooh ah) but the frequency of the leak didnt change so before i go ripping it all apart i thought id call upon your experiences... assuming i havent got a snake or a pissed off cat lodged in there somewhere, is there anyway air can leak to atmosphere from the recircs assuming all the hoses are good? of course it could be the intercooler but i could only hear it by wedging my head in the nose panel area and wearing the zed like a mask... thats a thought... cool fancy dress... 'im a zed head'! i couldnt hear any leaks from outside around the intercooler area so i think it will be a bumper off job to check that but if any1 knows of any lawful impediment as to why i should rip off my recirc, throw it at the dog and fit a new 1, please do step up... cheerZ

  8. i think the AA were having a meet... we nearly had a truck each at one point! as you say i think the first one radio'd in for a dead cert and they all turned up like vultures. they paid particular attention to ianl, the prince of bad luck, but to their suprise, he turns up in a swb slicktop :smash:
  9. yes it would fit... and dependant on the wheel and tyre.. it would look like this... pics courtesy of jschrauwen... hope he doesnt mind... these are 19x10 rears with a +33 offset. as you can see if he didnt have the stretched tyres on it (265/35/19) it would foul the arch, so it really depends on your wheels offset

  14. surely for the speedo its just a case of tapping off the pulse wire and sending to the new gauge? im not convinced a 200 bucks gps unit is a sensible work round... especially the times when you lose a fix, and the times when youve just turned the car on and drive off with no speedo until the gps finds a fix?
  15. welcome back baZ

  22. it wont help you too much if your running the original vg30 engine as the digital dash in this thread has its signals sent from a v8... very few of the signal wires will be spliced into the oem loom. in fact prolly only the fuel level.
