  1. The preliminary findings of the investigation-board are that one of the radio-altimeters malfunctioned, which resulted in the reduced throttle in anticipation of touchdown. The autopilot held on to the glideslope, which in turn resulted in the fatal stall... Simple fault Major disaster! some footage

  8. ie ITS NOT MY FAULT!!! these far eastern, or lesser developed countries, have farmers, chefs, midwives and whoever fancies it for some extra cash doing maintenance on their aircraft.. the caa are closing in on these cowboy outfits but its sad to see this sort of thing happening. im not suggesting that this was caused by these issues, but it does make me wonder! an eye witness reported that it was silent as it approached... prolly run out of fuel :nono: another case of running out of fuel'ness' was when the fuel loadmaster went onto the flightdeck to ask the captain how much fuel he wanted, at the time the captain was talking to the first officer about a rugby score... 'righto' said the refueller as he proceeded to fill the tanks up to a rugby score.. it crashed! ryanair have recently been punished as the pilots were instructed to save fuel by throttling right back once they get to cruise speed and getting VERY close to stall... UK maintenance is expensive which is why these lesser developed places are getting more of the work and heavy maintenance in the uk is being compressed to very few but hopefully the balance of this will change as the caa clamp down on these cowboy outfits... then again the resultant of that will be me getting more money and your tickets going up im afraid :(
