My biggest gripe is butchering a perfectly good car for the sake of something relatively trivial. For the time and money I would have to invest in it and the whole turning it into a 'project' scenario, I think it would be foolish, I may aswell just enjoy mine. At least until a tree falls on it or I wrap it round a lamp post!!

As a 'semi' purist, I don't normally like this mod, but this one seems to look very tasty. Most zeds I see with this sort of rear light setup have lots of fibreglass bits glued to the bodywork but yours is bob on to my taste in styling... I wouldn't say I think it looks better than 99 specs but what you have achieved works so well as a 'package' imo. I'm a less is more person but in this case I think it looks better in the pics with the badge fitted. Look forward to seeing it in person... even though our paths haven't crossed for sometime now!?

I'd rather have your zed! I like the kaira spoiler but other than that, I'd lose the stripes and change the wheels . Front bumper is nice but I prefer the 99 spec and that just leaves the recaros and steering wheel?

I agree with Dave, rear speakers ruin the sound stage. I was unsure whether to believe it myself at first and thought I needed 'rear fill'... My rear speakers are now off, waste of money lol!

I did have actually but I binned it! Trouble is for my setup is that it's not strictly speaking a double din. I have a carpc and have an 8" touchscreen so the physical opening is a bit bigger than a double din. I had to make another as the first didn't have the viewing angle quite right, also the 1st monitor went tits so I upgraded to a better quality one which needed a different opening.

I've got a few of these knocking about and have made a couple of double dins, I'm pretty sure the shape is symmetrical. I stand to be corrected though :)

I see what you're saying, I'd say that's just the perspective of the photo though.

Doh! Thinking about it, it was this thread that bought that one to my attention haha! If you can put up with the clock on the wrong side everything else will fit as long fit the gubbins from a rhd one according to the vid on that site.

Maybe an LPG conversion would be more cost effective?
