found this made me laugh
That doesn't look too bad I guess, although I think it would be an improvement if he fitted a larger zorst and slammed it hellaflush. Then it would be the ultimate murdered out, ratted ricer...

I think the z owner was lying though... Those costa del sol roller skates are super quick, a 300zx twin turbo is no match for such a beast:

Missing my Z!
Haha, it would cost as much as the car in fuel to collect it! I've had plenty of bangers like that to fill this need but ultimately, they always end up being a waste of money. I'll give this method a go and reassess at the end of the year. For now, I'm quite looking forward to using the zed a bit more.

Wheels from 350z
Beware of the rear offset. You can squeeze some aggressive offsets on the back of the 350's so, as Simon says, find out the exact specs and report back.

Missing my Z!
Hmm, I've not seen that before. It's not a particularly great diagram as it only shows the cross sections at one point (they change slightly along their axis) but gives a good overview. I can confirm that section A, D, E, F, G are all accessible without drilling, using fastener holes, existing lightning holes (mostly covered with vinyl tape from the factory). I was unaware that cross section A had that internal channel so I'll have to have a little nose at that one along its length. I can't quite work out point B and I haven't touched C yet, it's on the list.

Missing my Z!
There have been so many days this winter to warrant a blast in the zed so this is another reason to go for the full 12. The temperatures this winter have been relatively mild, around here at least, so the roads have only been salted on a couple of occasions.

Missing my Z!
It is, but I used one from work that we use to inspect inside engines. Unfortunately we only have one and it's mega expensive having built in measuring and mapping equipment, so was a bit of a risky one off loan to our hangar car park! I'd say the cheap ones listed on eBay would be more than sufficient for this job assuming that's what you want to use it for? I think I might get one myself for repeat inspections.

Missing my Z!
So far this winter we've managed to work around it, but generally means putting a burden on the wife, having to walk or catch public transport (which can be a right pita with 2 kids and a buggy and be very hit and miss!). I sometimes have the option to lift share with someone fairly close or failing that, there is a bus depending on the day. However, I tend to go overseas very regularly at the drop of a hat for random periods of time and can return at any hour of the day so both these options are a gamble!

Missing my Z!
Unfortunately, it's more of a practical requirement then something I want to do. Until a couple of years ago I was on nightshift for many years, so my wife and I only needed the one daily drive between us. On occasions the need for another car arose so we have tried with 3 cars, but eventually this 3rd car ended up sitting for weeks/months without use, wasting tax/mot/insurance etc. My current job, of the last 2 years, involves more dayshifts (4x4 2 days 2 nights) and with the kids now requiring various commitments, we keep finding the odd day where one of us is without transport. It will be these occasions that I will use the zed to commute to work, come rain or shine (excluding the months/weeks when the roads are salted). It's not worth having another car for so this seems a logical solution to try. Hence last years strip down underseal and cavity wax to try and keep the damage to a minimum. I boroscoped the cavities and box sections before I started and they were all in good nick and rust free and now there are several litres! of muck spread around in every conceivable nook and cranny. I also don't personally consider driving it in the wet more dangerous from a power perspective, adapting the driving style to the conditions is a simple solution to a safe trip. I accept the risk of the potential for other road users to undo everything I've just said and total the car anyway!

I'm going to tax mine earlier this year and for 12months with the intention of using it more often... Even in the... in the r... the r-r-ra... the rain!

Electrical Issue
Excellent news and thank you very much for taking the time to give feedback on your experience. Thanks also to Jeff for solving yet another Z gremlin. I don't think Jeff should pay a traders subscription, we should pay him a subscription! I bet there are very few similar cases of traders investing so much time and knowledge to assist people so concisely and at no cost, giving away what other traders would probably consider trade secrets!

R32 Interchangeable suspension parts?
Save up and buy some Meister R coilovers. Great quality for relatively little money. Used suspension components are always going to be hit and miss, especially one like that designed to work so hard.

Viscous and idle
I purchased a used replacement viscous from Jeff @ zedworld for around £30 iirc. Mine was noisy straight from startup (crazy noisy!) some I assumed the coupling/clutch had locked or become unreliable.

zcentre cluster
Nick's v8 zed clocks were also one off customs pieces together from individually sourced gauges like Rolandas. Also, being married to the v8 looms would mean you'd pretty much have to start over anyway. The z centre cluster is quite a good price of you like the style/design of the gauges, otherwise have a search around the web for some that you like and make it yourself?

What Tools do you carry in your zed?
Oh my word, you 3 are loopy! You must have been serious Boy Scouts and I bet you're now in the military? That's what I would class as OCD paranoia, OCP lol. Maybe I'm just naive as I only carry a jack and a bottle of foam and that's only if I'm leaving the country (along with obvious legal requirements like bulbs, hi-vis and triangle etc). Otherwise I carry whatever I have in my pocket, if I'm commuting to work I will have my leatherlady!

I tend to go for a combination of analogue and digital, this is it just now after a few little mods tonight... Phutumsh will probably like this one:

Photoshop/titling help please...
Only a quick try on my phone! So with only one font option and just a few colours, but thought I'd throw it up anyway. Also sporting your new 19" volks and coilovers provided by princeking...
