strange z for sale
Guys, this is one rare beasty, it's a 2+2 slicktop; 1 of a kind! I like the wing mirrors and the windscreen.

What did you do to your zed today?
The calipers look great Russ, love the colours. Jay, the Z is looking tasty mate. Did you clay the car without polishing? I've found that claying leaves marring behind on mine so have to follow with a quick spruce of the polisher! Although I normally clay to decontaminate before a polish, I am obsessed!

Coventry 2016.Big thank you
Nice idea there Alic, that will be a useful tool to remind regular users and guide infrequent users of upcoming events that may be of interest to them. I do recall talking to club members at the last meet in Maldon about the Coventry meet and they had no idea what I was talking about! Anyone in this club should be aware of our main events and I agree it should somehow be rammed in our faces. JaiKai is the web administrator type guy who can answer exactly what can and cannot be done with these proposals. I do confess however that I would very rarely see that page, I just logged in to prove my point and I have 332 notifications on the forum as I haven't "logged in" for a while! Tapatalk doesn't interface with those parts of vbulletin.

Car covers, myths and legends
The classic motor show at the NEC attracts all the big manufacturers of these covers and have lots of trade stands with samples, demos and special offers. If you can make that show or a similar type of show it may go a long way to help you choose, possibly save you some money and give you a nice day out to boot [emoji41]

Car covers, myths and legends
I think as long as you get one that fits snugly (there of plenty of manufacturers that offer a 300zx cover) and you get one designed for outdoor use that can breathe. Be careful who you buy from, just because it's expensive, doesn't mean it's any better than a "cheap" halfords jobbie. I'd say find a reputable company and discuss your options with them based on what you need and take it from there. I'd expect to pay £250-300+ for a decent outdoor cover that will last you a long time and not damage the paint. Another thing to consider is that you must never put the cover over it if you have driven it, otherwise the dirt will cause damage and transfer into the inside of the cover. You also shouldn't put the cover on straight after washing until it's completely dry as you don't want to trap any moisture from the last drops coming out of panel gaps etc. Personally I never cover my car unless it has been washed, decontaminated and clayed but to be fair, I have a special case of anally induced (eh?!) ZOCD!

No booooost
My money is on a split hose. Fine on vacuum keeping you're idle stable, but opening up on boost. Boost possibly varying slightly with temperature depending on how hot the engine bay has become.

Vee Eight
Who needs turbos when you've got 450hp of instant throttle response with bags of low down torque. Looking forward to the orchestra of a race prep V8!

The moment when the guy in charge of the award categories has to decide whether to include the old "furthest travelled" award, knowing he would probably win it [emoji1]

Coventry 2016.Big thank you
That was a great day, thank you to all involved. The weather was perfect, the cars looked amazing and I was truly honoured to receive the awards. I really was speechless when everyone was waiting for me to say something; in hindsight, what I should have said is a massive thankyou to the committee along with everyone involved in this event and how proud I am to be part of a great club. Like every one of you, I have a real passion for these cars and this one has been a labour of love of mine for nearly 10 years now, it's so rewarding to think that the vision is appreciated by others, the trophies are awesome [emoji106]

It's a pretty clean but not as super clean as I would like. It's certainly a used engine bay and an area I am yet to properly detail/restore, for now I just try to maintain its condition. I'm not a fan of super shiny but the sheen you can see in the pic is the Aerospace 303 that I dressed the bay with whilst the bonnet was up. It is a water based protectant, free of silicon oils and solvents that dries nicely to reveal an original looking finish [emoji106] 2 of the many jobs I have to do under there is that I need to paint my bling rad bracket to anti-bling it and re-coat my power steering pot as it fell victim to hot coolant during my "almost epic fail" on a French adventure! That question is, what colours?

Managed to find a few minutes today to fit these, good bit of kit. Here's a spot the difference pic, ironically, the side with the cover installed in this pic didn't have a horrible rusty spring!

2016 Annual Club Meet and AGM - Coventry Transport Museum Sunday 17th July
You did that by putting your name on the list. You're committed now, no turning back! I reckon the last time we were at a meet together was at Silverstone in 2007; nearly 10 years ago! See ya there me dook [emoji16]

Yes!

Radiator cross member replacement, day one.
Them? I'll take one if you have more than one Pete, mine is in pretty poor condition! Or are you referring to both parts?
-
arch roller free for any one to lend
I suspect that Simon might have used his arch roller in order for his 19x10 BBS LM wheels to fit in the hole... Maybe?
-
Radiator cross member replacement, day one.
It's important to have that fitted to keep engine bay temps down and efficiently cooled, I'd take Pete up on that offer [emoji106] It also goes a long way to keep the engine bay clean.

I think you'd have to try quite hard to bend these. The build quality is very good considering they're just a cosmetic cover!
