It's only been 13 months but worth the wait as usual (don't even get me started on what happened  ) Should make it to the Scotch Corner meet tomorrow :D

Front mounted or Side mounts?
I've got the Pace sidemounts and very happy + loads of power. Would love a nice looking front mount but it's a lot of work to install with no real benefits.

Which Boost Controller
If you look where the wastegate control solenoids are you should see the solenoid mounted on a bracket above the turbo with a couple of thin black pipes and a connector (the ones you found?). The other connectors that join them should be hanging down or maybe strapped up out of the way somewhere but can't be far away. Without these connected you won't get safety boost.

Which Boost Controller
They're the boost solenoid connectors I presume. Would be disconnected for the boost controller to work but unless you've had bigger turbo's fitted or something then the other connectors should still be there.

Yes I'd try eBay and put a high reserve on it. Got to be worth a go. Try taking some photo's round the local antique dealers or even e-mail them to a few.

Nissan or Not Nissan
Yeah I can have a look but don't have my Z at the mo. Should have it back in the next week I think. I'm very good on the electrics and have a load of tools and spares to swap about if you fancy it. I might make it up the the meet at Scotch Corner on Sunday if I get the car back. Chris.

Nissan or Not Nissan
There's loads of us guys in the north, haven't you had any of them take a look at it for you? Most stuff doesn't need a Consult test to work out if you know a Z

Police are tossers but it's my lucky day!
I've been in front of magistrates before for speeding and like you say, you might as well walk in with guilty stamped on your forehead. As it was a serious charge I was given the option to go to Crown Court and get a jury of 12 NORMAL people to judge me. Was told that statistically you have a much better chance with a jury instead of 3 stuck up magistrates. So basically if it's something relatively minor like speeding you've had it at the magistrates court! LOL

Police are tossers but it's my lucky day!
Well I did say the police/prosecution in my "essay" LOL  The police at the scene of the accident did a great job I'll admit. Somehow between the police and the CPS they looked at the "evidence" (which they didn't seem to have any of!) and somehow came up with a dangerous driving charge. I think they hoped I'd plead guilty and earn them a quick grand in fines  Just glad it's all over, it's been hanging over me for the last 4 months or so in and out of court thinking I'm about to be banned. I've not had my Z for over a year and it's due back any day - It would be just my luck to get a year or 18 month ban within days of getting it back :headvswal

fitted my 99 spec lights
They're not any lights, they're photoshop one-offs LOL

Police are tossers but it's my lucky day!
Was in an accident last year (not in the Z luckily!) where I was doing about 70 up a long clear fast A road following 2 other cars when the one at the front slowed down and looked to be turning left so I overtook the car in front. Unfortunately the tosser was actually doing a U turn in the road and using the left side road to swing round without stopping or looking behind him to see 2 cars coming up fast. He wasn't on the right of the lane and wasn't indicating. I tried to drive around him but hit him and both cars were badly smashed up and written off but somehow nobody was hurt. There was no road to turn right into, only a house on the side of the road with a gate across it's drive. He claimed he was doing a right turn into this house of a friend which was the only house for miles around. I knew this was BS as he never even knocked on the door (wouldn't you after trashing your car outside a mates house? LOL) and later I heard him tell the police a totally different story that he was lost and 25 miles from home. I returned to the house and asked if they knew him and surprise surprise he was lying - obviously to make an excuse for his stupid manoeuvre. I was rather amazed 6 months later to receive a summons for DANGEROUS DRIVING! It's a minimum 12 month ban plus a huge fine. I pleaded not guilty and took the option of moving it to Crown Court in front of a jury due to the serious consequences for my job (and Z!) After over 9 months and 5 wasted court visits because the prosecution/police couldn't present any evidence in time and had to keep adjourning it, they've finally sent me a letter today saying the case has been dropped due to lack of evidence... You don't say! but what a relief  What a waste of time and my/tax payers money. Even the police at the scene and the only other witness said it wasn't my fault so don't know why I was charged - no way was it dangerous driving on my part. Good thing is they say I can claim my costs now which include solicitors and 5 days off work etc. Tossers :xxx: Chris.
