  1. My heater matrix has been wetting my feet today :hurl: :nana2: Where's the best place to get one and how much? Will be fitting it myself :( :nono:
  2. Stop spending all that cash on the Z and go buy a double bed :slap:

Well I answered my own question here :( Drove up the A1 today wondering why my car was steaming up more and more, opened the windows and turned up the heat to try clear it and saw steam coming out of all the vents  Thought it was on fire at first but then noticed my damp shoe  Bugger! :smash:

Did I miss something?!? What happened with your fine collection of european speeding tickets?
  5. Well it means there will be play in the bushes under pressure and I'm not sure but think it might be an MOT fail? If they're leaking then I'd replace with some poly ones or get rose jointed tension rods.
  6. If it was running OK then it looks like the injector is working fine, pointing to the seals. Injectors seem pretty tough from the look of them so can't see how they'd leak like that but there's 2 rubber seals if I remember right from fitting mine. Did you/someone fit new seals when they were fitted? I was in my brothers Opel Manta years ago doing about 120mph when we smelt fuel. Pulled over and opened the bonnet to see a split fuel hose spraying a huge jet of fuel directly onto the glowing exhaust manifold! We turned it off damn quick but luckily it was just vapourising and didn't light
  7. Wouldn't have thought it would have done any damage. Was it misfiring or did you just smell the fuel? Plenum and fuel rail off to get to it though :( Probably is just a dodgy seal I'd have thought.
  8.
  9. Z1 Motorsports in US sell them as a pair with fitting kit for $300.00 thats about £165 plus shipping ;) http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_22&products_id=83 A bargain especially if you need other stuff to help offset the postage costs.
  10. Faulty speed sensor on the side of the gearbox then :)
  11. Turbo XS RFL Loudest you can buy by a long way! :D
  12. I think he's mowing the grass with the spitfire
  13. Just found this Spitfire one too  Even lower! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CIyMtR7BOc
  14. Was much more impressive on the telly in full size with the sound turned up to knock you off your seat :D
  15. What's with all these gay new Ferrari colours? They should stick to red, yellow and black! :D
  16. Well I know it wasn't your fault and GPS told me all sorts of crap, but if they weren't paying you then what do they expect. I used to get some good deals off Johnny years ago and thought he was a mate but I think he got in such a mess with the business he had no choice but to rip people off and swap/sell peoples parts to keep going. I won't be dealing with any traders on here again as it's happened on 3 occasions now I've lost hundreds of pounds spent with amateurs.
  17. I heard some of the story but didn't realise it was that bad Andy :( I even had to talk their new mechanic through putting my own engine back together as he'd never seen one before! The only reason I went there was he'd ripped me off fitting clutch so agreed to do the rebuild for a knock down price. He charged me 7 hours for fitting a clutch which took 2.5 hours with me helping! £750 quid inc a 2nd hand clutch off MarkZX's car! I'd have argued more if the bank manager hadn't been in the office. Told him on 2 occasions I was coming with a truck to take the car and engine parts away, including turning up with Mac and 3 others from the forum after the phones were cut off and he wouldn't answer his mobile. Wasted a years insurance and tax and had to buy another car - so much for his cheap job that I said he could take his time over... He certainly did. Was told it wasn't their fault my car took a year, it's because they didn't have a mechanic. A garage without a mechanic for 5 months and it's not their fault... hmmm! LOL
  18. Quite agree the last Ferrari I really liked is the 355 :) That's a really nice pic of the F40, really does look awesome and so much sportier than that other pile of cack! Even Lambo's aren't looking quite as flash as they did, although I love the Murcielago. If I had the money I'd have to go for a Pagani Zonda though :D
  19. He offered me a windscreen off someone elses car but as it was probably nicked and I'd have to pay someone to fit it I just claimed on my insurance for £50. We should track them both down and get their DNA on my tyres  Johnny even had the cheek to have a go at me for bringing my car to him in the first place - he offered to do the work, I didn't make him do it!?!?! LOL He thought I was nagging and moaning because I rang him about twice a week for 3 or 4 months... if he'd answered the phone and not got one of his muppets to tell me bullshit about him not being in/available and nobody knowing what state my car was in every time I wouldn't have had to. Was getting an answer twice in maybe 30 phone calls excessive? Took 6 months to tell me some of the parts were missing from the service kit I supplied (doubt that now anyway) and tried to charge me for replacements. The list goes on and on.... Still smoking like feck on idle after a thrash and clouds of carbon on full throttle even after the turbo re-con but it goes so that's all that matters for now :)
  20. Yes it's just the mounting together of the 2 prop sections not the end that goes in the box ;)
  21. As it starts getting colder these problems will start hitting the board, happens every year  It's worth tightening up all the small fuel hoses around the plenum but especially the ones on the fuel regulator which are a very common leak point. Another one that's unfortunately hard to get to is under the throttle cable pulley at the front of the engine.
  22. Well mine's not like that! :nono:
  23. Hey Andy, I've got your bonnet stay and radiator bracket! Johnny took it off yours as he'd lost mine and I noticed before driving it off with nothing holding the rad in place and having to support the bonnet on my head. Didn't think you'd mind as your car was a shell by that stage :( That was at the same time as noticing my windscreen had a 10 inch crack across it that they reckoned was there when i brought it in - a YEAR before... :xxx:
  24. I had an Opel Manta GTE if that counts :D Superb car and did well in Rallying but not many about these days :(
