  1. Well yes.....I have blue glass on a carchoal colored car.....I think personally that bronze would suit my car better :-)
  2. What's all the fuzz about this "blue glass"? Is this rare? Mike
  3. OH, and where do I find the "edit" function to correct my faults while writing
  4. Is there anybody withe a TT automatic who just can open hid hood and try to look for this wires and se where they are going. They were definatly not connected to the fusebox next to the battery (LHD) Thanks, Mike
  5. Took my Z out for a spin, filled her up and managed to do 23.54mpg:laugh: Let's be clear, I drive this old lady like an old lady
  6. Is the fusible link a blue thick wire on the left of the fusebox? If so, yes it is. What could this 2 thick green wires ( +/- 4mm2) be? I already checked the wire diagrams in the manual but can't find it.
  7. Does anyone have an ifea what this thick green wires are for? They hav been shorted. Guess the where initially connected to the fusebox near the battery.
  8. So Jeff, if I understand correctly: if I do my oil change and filter change every 20.000km like the manual says, my auto gearbox should last a little longer without problems? Mike
  9. For me no child's dream. I owned almost 18 cars now and 17 of them were japanese. My MR2 is still standing on my driveway but will be gone soon. I'm someone who's very quick tired of something and so I change a lot from cars. In fact I was looking to buy a Skyline but then the very long procedure to get it on the road in Belgium made me change my mind and I just looked for any Nissan between 85 and 93 and a Z came up. The appearance pleased me and I started looking for one. The more I searched, the more I fell in love with. Now I have one and I really love the car. I know she will give a couple of headaches (engine rebuild etc) but for some unexplanable reason, I don't care. SHE STAYS
  10. Damn...what an amazing job with amazing result.......I admit.....I'm jealous!!! Mike
  11. They are completely original but I think they are done. Now, if you can find somebody to pick them up in Belgium, you can have them....otherwise they go in the bin.
  12. Mounted my new HSD coilover kit today. I bought the "DualTech" ones as they are supposed to give the most comfort. My old ones were fooked anyway and as the rear was equiped with the original active dampers, I thik they were stuck on "Hard". Spring rate an damper on the new HSD have been set on the softest. The car dropped 4,5 cm in the back and 1,5 cm in the front. I have to say that the car feels less hard now then with the original suspension. I hope the car stays this hight because I don't want to go any lower in the back. .
  13. I mean "cut out" :blushing:
  14. Past week a friend of mine has repaired my rear sill wich were a bit rusted. Most of the rust has been cist out an the rest has been treated with rust-stopping products. Everything has been redone with wax afterwards :-) Below, pic's of the work.
  15. Why it is no such a bad idea to strip the interior after 26 years and beat the crap out of the carpets
  16. Haven't you guys got some sort of "oldtimer--insurance"? I pay 100 euro a year and exempt for any future technical inspection. Mike
  17. SAme thing in Belgium.....:bored: Think that the usual stuff like wiring looms, trims, carpets would be nice to find here ( europe ) and not only in "the states" Mike
  18. Thanks Jeff, this was exactly the answer I was looking for
  19. If you say "with less movement", does this mean that the rubber bushings still do their job but become harder because they are pressed together by the collars? Or do the collars make it a "solid-mount" subframe? Mike
  20. Hello guys, I'm in need of a black passenger area carpet, rwd or lhd, swb of lwb doesn't matter, as long as it is black and at least one of both sides is in very good condition. Thanks, Mike
  21. I tried but it didn't work.
  22. Think there is a Z-club in Holland. But, if anyone has a black passenger-area carpet lying around (lwb or swb) I'm interested :-)
  23. HAha, from Nissan directly???? The car is to old....dealers don't even bother to look in their computer if they can order original keys. I had those ordered from the States too.
