Yampie .. is the sub 1200watts peak or RMS?as it makes a huge difference .. .. i would seriously consider powering your fullrange speakers if they are aftermarket ones .. the stock ones wont take much power . if you need any advice bud drop me a PM John

Sounds like the belt needs replacing/tightening .. as you use more current from the alternator it adds more resistance to the belt .. hence the slipping noise when you put your light on ... probably adds between 10-15 amp load on the alternator John

The problem here isnt the alarms ... a lot has to do with instalation .. ive fitted must be over 500 clifford alarms and very rare is it they get a problem thats due to manufacturing .. but on a whole the most common one's i fit are Cobra & Meta which you can pay anything between £250-£300 fitted .. i no longer fit alarms as i do not have the time these days .. but hope this has helped you John

Steve do a websearch for a company called rochford tyres in essex .. i got my 265 35 18's avon zz3's from them at a stupid price of about £98 a corner and they grip well esp in the wet .. similar tread pattern to the goodyear f1's.. as for the sizes of your tyre you need to measure the width of the alloy then go from there John

the S14a is probably the best out of the bunch IMHO .. the s13's are getting old and the engines are pretty weak at high mileage . .. more room in the back compared to the Zed.. and soooooo much fun to drive

Try the 200sx S14a.. great motor to drive and work on and plenty of room in the back for the kids and a huge potential for tuning .. i had one for 3 year prior getting my 2nd Zed .. only thing that brought me back to the Zed was its looks

if its slow turnover .. it could possibly be your earth lead to engine block or maybe a dying cell in the battery .. easiest way to check the battery is connect a digivolt meter to it .. turn the car over and if you have a voltage of less than 9v then the battery is probably on its way out ... to cheack the earthlead .. do the same as above note the voltage .. then move the negative wire from the voltmeter to an earth point on the engine and note the voltage when u turn it over .. if there is a volt or so difference then u have a faulty earth lead John

Neil I cant see myself making JAE what with the amount of work i have on at present, just incase i cant ake it, could you please put this across for me Will the committee be looking for more volunteers to help run the club, since i joined last year i have seen numerous new names appear yet the same amount on the committee, would it be viable to take on more people to help reduce the work load on the guys that are doing it now? Also When it comes to the committee elections wouldnt it be fair to have other members run for the same role, maybe some new blood with fresh ideas may help .. to take place in the private forums where only paying members have a vote .. this might help in getting some of the registered members to subscribe? Finished building the box to house my subs in the Zed .. 10.4 cubit foot and made from 1"1/2 MDF, fibreglass n steel bracing, weighing in at 162kg without subs .. pics will be up soon once i start the steel bracing that has to be welded inside the car to hold it in place John SPL in a ZED .. can it be done? ... it maybe the plug that connects to the coil pack on the wiring loom side as the wires have a tendancy to go brittle

Morning chaps and chapettes the sun is out in force today .. one of my nephews birthday today so were off out for the day .. but im takin them both in the Zed as they asked " Uncle Twinny (thats another story how i got that name) can we go in the zed with the roof off and shades on and blast it down the motorway".. its days like this when you really enjoy the Zed when kids think theyre sat in a Super Car ...
