Parts needed for manual conversion?
Here is the bottom halve of the auto on top of the manual one. As far as i can tell they have the same coverage, i think the auto one is in two halves to give better access to the torque converter bolts

Parts needed for manual conversion?
They are i believe as i thankfully found out, but the manual one is a full circle with an extra overlapping piece, and the auto is in two halves (top and bottom) i believe

lol if it is a 15 min job i might as well do it then. Just swapping the arms over you mean? Aha maybe I do remember incorrectly but I just followed by what you said and I can't see why it will be a problem, by cutting it you still use the same rubber cover so they are effectively the same

Starters are the same It is lots of effort to replace the brake pedal and most of the time you can just cut the auto pedal in half and install the rubber cover You can use the auto loom or you can use the manual loom. Radiators are different but you can leave the auto one in as its a closed loop for the auto cooling system. Might be worth getting the engine transmission plate, The pilot bearing and clutch release bearing etc. All assorted bolts (flywheel, clutch etc) Clutch line (zcentre makes one for purpose) That's it off the top of my head. Just know what you mean by: "Gearstick and related assembly" etc as you need to remember the shifter boot and retainer and all the bolts etc. Of course transmission fluid and you could replace the rear main seal at the same time. Also is the new box a tt or na

Petition to increase motorway speed limit from 70mph to 90mph
As part of the practical test it requires you to do at least 1 of the following reverse manouvers: 3 point turn corner reverse parallel park bay park While I agree with the learners never going on the motorway giving them no experience, it still would be chaos with some learner drivers fumbling around on the motorway and perhaps unsafe?

Small correction bay parking is compulsory. That driving instructor is a pillock [emoji38] You'd fail the test for doing that if there was someone next to you. But definitely it would be a fault recorded

Petition to increase motorway speed limit from 70mph to 90mph
Yes and no. Sure the technology has increased so cars can perform better at higher speeds and importantly braking. However people haven't changed and an accident at 70 at the moment, would be more severe at 90mph. Up for debate whether there will be more frequent accidents though. On the other hand, journey times cross country will be quicker, and we won't get so many damn speeding tickets for the zeds

Doesn't look the same as the earlier cams and its a 99 so I would guess not. Yours Pre-96: I don't think they are spring loaded you might be feeling the cams on the valve lifters, which are spring loaded.
