  1. He's referring to the bottom of the shifter where the old bushings are, stating you don't have to take the shifter out do it while bolted in. Though I would say its simply easier to reinstate the bushings when the shifter is out of the car, especially as my brass ones were press fit so didn't move. You've unbolted it now anyway
  2. Ah okay. I made some brass ones for mine so there is no slop. You could probably just hammer the stud out and jsut replace it with a normal bolt and nut I would suggest.
  3. Why are you taking the shifter out Jay? Also which stud broke? One of those two bolts that hold the shifter in?
  4. Oh yes you are correct that was what I was thinking about, I do remember now the drain plug was further down. And its on the left looking from the rear of the car i've just remembered
  5. Nice spot. The r200 oem one has it about half way up on the left side.
  6. Here for the OEM fix: Or if you prefer alternate fix: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?185544-OEM-Digital-Clock-cheap-quot-fix-quot-solution&highlight=clock
  7. It packs some punch that's for sure
  8. Oh cool it's a nismo model But yeah looks clean, should be good fun
  9. Other than what you've mentioned, the clocks obviously. Im not 100% sure about the black swage line though alarm, fuel filter and for the picky... rear wheels are back to front
  10. Good deal on a swb tt manual even if it is an na ;) (with a tt bumper) Does look good just bin that fog light though
  11. If you shoot me an email cookalistair@hotmail.co.uk and go to justbeamit.com and send me a link (don't close the page) ill see what I can do.
  12. You can just upload it to youtube? I don't mind uploading it if you want to send it to me?
  13. Na rack has quicker steering yes. Did you use crush washers when you reinstalled the pipes? Or did you not remove them? Might just be worth a try to put new seals in them It is difficult but not impossible to replace the rack with the engine in.
  14. You may be referring to the synergy carbon scuttles which are available to purchase if anybody didn't see my what did you do... today post. If you opt for the slotted ones, they are cut afterwards, as opposed to a mould of them initially from the original such as what I think Ian is going for. Of course when this happens they are bigger slots and not contoured and blended like they should be (also cost more). See: So if this group buy turns to be a success, they should be better and cheaper than the synergy ones, but we'll have to see.
  15. Oh haha did he? I never knew.
  16. I think he said he was part of the committee back in the day? Hopefully he gets his electrical issue sorted and the car back driving again
  17. An old school member named Steve (cybernet who some longer term members may remember) lives in an adjacent road to mine, though his car hasn't been out a long time unfortunately.
  18. If you put 5000k as pure white, going below that is going to be slightly more yellow. They might vary from manufacturers but I like my 6000ks
  19. Correct you just need somewhere to hide the ballasts And 8000k is very blue tinted I prefer 6000 or 5000 for an ice blue/white, or 4500 for a yellowish tinge
  20. I'm thinking maybe an engine mount is shot?
  21. I did see the other day that some lower arms have a bolt thread for brake air guides that bolt or something similar. May have a pair but they're probably kinds grim and rusty. I'll update you though if they're alright
  22. Curtain drapes are the new style apparently...
  23. hmm will this one do? https://www.donedeal.co.uk/cars-for-sale/nissan-300zx/14606882
