  1. Also I do believe a good reliable map will go a long way. And also boost will be kept under 12psi most likely.
  2. Oh yeah I know, got plenty spare engines though so I'm not too bothered if it blows. I want something rather unique and more interesting than the run of the mill twin turbo. It will feel very different to drive than a stock twin turbo, even sharing most of the same parts. This won't be for the black zed, this will be for the shortie whenever the time is right.
  3. It will end up being the same as na 10.5:1 if not a bit lower as I might put a thicker head gasket in. I know the cams are the same, the TT head was an auto though so I just got the manual ones to go in. Everything will be polished and painted/powercoated, just not sure what to do at the moment about restoring the bolts, once I wire wheel them they will just corrode again so might do something like oil dip coating them.
  4. Na engine stripped down and scavenged for a rebuild I have coming. Engine spec will be: Na bottom end with the high compression pistons, TT oil pan, TT heads, na manual cams. Also drove the TT zed which last time I put a power steering pump in. The pump is completely dead and pissing fluid out the compressor... So that's another job to do later, not fun.
  5. That radiator is pretty bad, but the pipes will be fine. A wire brush will soon take the gunk off the pipes.
  6. They do break occasionally. edit the post and upload them again :/
  7. I dont want to commit myself too heavily but i do have experience in html, css, js if it is of any help in rejuvenating the site. This vbulletin stuff is quite dated and limiting it feels like.
  8. All the horns i've looked it, its just earthed through the mount and just one live wire, £10 dual horns from ebay did the job.
  9. Are you in too deep dude?
  10. My best advice for cutting it, is using a hose clamp round the pipe and run a sharp Stanley knife around against the hose clamp. Straight cuts and no freying
  11. Not around the corner from you but from Luke. I probably do have that somewhere, I can bring to Coventry if youd like?
  12. I will be with the London/south east convoy again with Andrew and Howard

  15. I forgot to post but Dad's red zed also sailed through MOT with no advisories. FunkySi congrats but we all saw that coming [emoji38]
  16. I didn't bring up recovering, slick Pete posted the costs for recovering a wheel in response to what a steering wheel is worth!
  17. Correct. Not too much. Best idea is to tighten the bolts down finger tight and leave for about half an hour, then clamp down. This way it doesn't force all the rtv out the way and creates a good seal
  18. Silicone all but not 5. You can usually tell things with silicone as they have a little groove for it
  19. Yes, they are the plugs that came on jap TTs. I have been advised that the C version is to be used on UK petrols as they are better suited to the octane.

  22. Would someone with a conzult mind bringing it to Coventry? Just want to check some things on dad's car. It's not running as well as it could be.
  23. I do understand this apologies. A hex head or allen head would have been a better question, as the upper water pipes use both.
  24. What work even needs doing [emoji23] ?
  25. If you need help taking anything else mechanical off I'm just around the corner. Offer still stands :)
