  1. I understand yours and Andrews doubts, but was merely trying to resolve this kerfuffle, not saying he was wrong. It wasn't just me under the impression that there was hicas and super hicas otherwise we would not have this discussion.
  2. Does sound like a reasonable explanation. No more arguing :thumbup1:
  3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HICAS
  4. Wikipedia and some skyline article. (i know, i know) but it seems widely accepted on the internets To be clear I'm not starting a fight, I am having a discussion
  5. Conflicting information is doing my head in. While I cannot doubt your source, it would make more sense to have a base hicas, and then upgrade it and call it 'super hicas'
  6. That's what I thought. Super hicas used a computer to measure stuff like how far and fast steering wheel is turned, lateral Gs, yawrate, and road speed. Then calculates angle to turn it. Hicas is just hydraulic valve controlled by ECU (only uses speed wheel is turned, speed and steering angle) Si come get me[emoji14]
  7. I must have not noticed it in my swb then.
  8. Thanks for correcting me about the speed it operates at... I'm not arguing
  9. Were the solid ones only from early models? They look so rubbish compared to those ones!
  10. Calm your horses Si! Medium speed opposite direction... high speed same direction.
  11. They are the same principle; turn opposite direction for low speed for better maneuverability, and same for more agility and stability at speed, however im sure 27 years has refined it much more, and perhaps tuned much better to the power they put out.
  12. He has them next to the swb....
  13. It was a mid level spoiler wasn't it?
  14. Matt Farah said it felt unatural at high power (500+), but can't comment personally
  15. The VH seems to be he obvious swap ATM. Was it massively difficult and needed alot of fabrication or was it changing the engine mounts and it pretty much fitted?

And where did you get this...??
  17. Even when you tightened it? Usually it's when it's loose, but as you say maybe not gripping the pulley.

Does that mean posts don't filter out tags? Edit: phew it does :p
  19. Those are the tyres i have on my 18s :thumbup1:
  20. Its an aftermarket bonnet, they aren't stuck on vents?
  21. The targas have a drain pipe which goes down to the sills and out of the car, but sometimes the pipes comes loose/breaks and just fills the sills with water as far as I recall. You can get into the pillar and replace the hoses though.
  22. Ah, assumed you had insurance. But you can drive a sorn to a pre-arranged mot.
  23. Isn't that the power steering pump?
  24. Why didn't you drive it there?
