The F1 Thread
This season is looking to be a very exciting one. After seeing the results of the winter tests, looks like the gap has been closed or shortened between Mercedes and Ferrari. I am very eager to see how much Honda improved from last season.

Downpipe questions
Joe is right on the money. Turbos love to breath, the better they breath the more power they will make and the less lag you will have. Weather you upgrade you turbos or stick with the stock ones, having a bigger exhaust and a better intake will net you gains across the board. The VG, sadly, is not the the best engine at moving air quickly, therefore the easier you make it for the whole system to breath and exhale the more power it will make and the smoother it will be. What I am saying is, Yes the extra expense of the 3" down pipes is well worth it in the long run, you can stick with a 2.5" cat back exhaust, not optimal, but it is a heck of a lot better flowing that the factory exhaust system (you can always upgrade to a 3" if funds are tight at the moment). It is easier to change/upgrade the exhaust than it is to change the downpipes.

To shave or not to shave...?
I have always liked the look of the spoiler on the Z. Granted it has to be a a flush mounted, although the 94+ TT spoiler looks really good and compliments the rear of the Z very well. Here are a couple of pics

Performance VH's Z32 VH45DE Build
Looking good. Whoever you friend is, mad props to him. I tried removing the quarter glass when I was doing my restoration and decided against it after breaking two on a parts car that I had.

Suspension Parts and opinions
No problem. You are correct, Z1's service has been getting worse over time, that is why I am no longer purchasing directly from them. I am purchasing most of my parts through CZP, they have been very helpful and respond quickly to my inquiries.

Brand New in Box Veilside Evolution (Not mine)
Truth, but having had a 4 sets of exhaust my self, one of those a Veilside and currently an AB-Flug, and also seeing and hearing a dozen different others, I have to say that the Veilside beats any other exhaust exhaust currently in the market in sound and build quality. That is not saying the AB-Flug is not a great exhaust the build quality is as good as the Veilside (I think they were built/made by the same company back in the day) but the sound of the Veilside is definetly unique.

Suspension Parts and opinions
In order to get the car aligned correctly after installing the coilovers you would need the front upper control arms. I have powertrix installed on mine, but truth be told, I have not been very pleased with their quality. I will be switching over to the Z1's, they have had pretty good reviews and look stronger. These are the only non-SPL parts I have installed on my Z. I would also suggest replacing the tension rods with the SPL titanium. These two will take care of getting everything in the front back to spec. The rear is a bit trickier, but the rear upper control/camber arms and toe rods will get you back into spec. Also while you are at it check your rubber bushings as these will also affect your alignment, replace as needed.

Brand New in Box Veilside Evolution (Not mine)
Auction closed at ¥103,100 which is £644.68 at today's rate. On top of that you will need to add a transaction fee, commission, shipping (which can be as much as the sales price) and tax. It adds up quickly but I think it is worth it.

Brand New in Box Veilside Evolution (Not mine)
Don't know if any of you saw this already, but there is currently available from Japan a complete Veilside Evolution exhaust for a 2+0. If you know about this exhausts systems you know how hard they are to come across, you also know that finding one for a 2+0 is almost impossible, and brand new too? Unimaginable. http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f172121543 Thought you guys might like to see it or even buy it! Rob

99-spec spoiler to come off!
Agree with everything you wrote. Another good option for the 2+2 will be the 95+ TT high spoiler, it is very underrated, but I think it compliments the rear of the 2+2 very well.
