  1. Ok thanks Ash, I'll speak with Chris and we will work out a time mate, I'll let you know but I'm keen to still come to this event.
  2. Thanks Ash, just trying to work out time to meet Chris at the services, realistically this is gonna be a long day, what is the latest I have to be at Brighton, 8 or is later possible?
  3. I am going in Purple HaZe, where are we all meeting then.
  4. Superb mate, it's a different beast altogether. Great meeting u as well mate, it was good fun at Lee's yesterday, would liked to have stayed longer mate. I got on the A5 and man, let her open up and it was just ace, grinning from ear to ear all the way home. Hope we can all meet up again this summer, some good laughs yesterday mate, cherrs
  5. Exceptional service at LA Autos yesterday. Picked up Project X and had a fantastic drive back from Shrewsbury to Bedford, car running superb and was a different driving experience altogether from Purple Haze. Thanks so much to Lee & Callum, the work Lee has done is top notch. Met up with Ian and Dave having work done on their motors as well, busy busy day for Mr Dent but all sorted in his usual jovial manner. So pleased with this new addition and looking forward to getting the bodywork done now. Cheers Lee
  6. Michael F**kin Bolton, gimme a break, that was my Steven Adler/Duff look dude, Micheal friggin Bolton...dear God.....
  7. Thanks man, We were all blown away when we got on her on the ramp Gaz, honestly, not a mark, all the sills are still true and the chassis rails undamaged, remarkable condition mate. I have been going over her history and she just pootled round London for a few years doing bugger all miles and then stored for the last seven years.... just trying to keep her as best i can, looking forward to some fun in her this summer....
  8. This is me in the 80's with my Red 280ZX, I had a couple of them back then, a cool blue 260Z and at one time a left hand drive US imported 240Z in silver, God i wish i had kept them.....or at least a couple of photos... This is my brothers nut and bolt total restoration of a beautiful 240Z, got me back into the Zed scene... Then Purple Haze entered my life.... And now I have my shortie to play in....Project X the little minx... Just love these cars and always have......
  9. Few Photos of Project X having a good coating of waxoil up at LA Autos. Going up tomorrow to collect her, all taxed, MOT'd and Insured now. Gonna be a bit of a Zed meet what with Coopd and Ian arriving as well.... cakes all round and a brew or two..
  10. Just Insured Project X with Lancaster, got both my Zeds with them now. Got it at £170 with 3K miles p/a. Strange thing is they don't differentiate between a TT and a NA, how weird.
  11. Phase 1 sorted. Lee Dent has once again worked his magic and she just flew through the MOT. Having full wax oil and rust proofing finished this week and picking her up on Friday. To say I am excited is an understatement. Phase 2 bodywork coming up but I may play in her for a while first..... got a new job, new zed and life's good....roll on the summer. No major pressure to sell Purple Haze now so I can keep both lady's in my life.... for a while anyway....ha ha i got the Zed bug bad man....
  12. Happy Birthday Mr P. all the best man, Cheers!
  13. Spotify. DAB. It's all I need. Vintage channel ain't too bad either.
  14. Hi there, Anyone have a decent rear spoiler for sale, I would prefer same type as the one that's on it, see below, or happy to look at suitable alternatives, no problem with colour as I'm respraying. Cheers,
  15. Sounds like a plan Craig, I'll send mine in now and clarify part of the 300zx.co.uk club.
  16. Me too, I'm up for this one..i have had a similar email direct, how do we proceed?
  17. I wish, no Richie, I have Purple Haze still and the Red 89 SWB. The blue slicktop is my brothers car.
  18. OK, thats interesting, VIN # Z32-000928 . I assumed it would mean its number 928 off the shop floor, is that not strictly the case?
  19. All in good time mate, I have to sell Purple Haze Si, once i have the funds I can then get a Twin Turbo in her. For now I am happy to get her running sweet, serviced and tidied up and have a play in her until i can drop a TT lump in. The original NA is in great nick and running sweetly.
  20. Staying the same Craig. I like the red.
  21. My project car for summer 2017, a SWB 1989 300ZX NA Manual Targa Top JDM import in 2003. Has been stored for the last 7 years. Its at LA Autos now with Lee having everything sorted before a trip to the body shop. Chassis number 0928. I guess that makes her one of the first 1000 Zed 32's out the factory. Underneath is in exceptional condition and the motor only has 60K on it.
  22. Hi There, Well the time has come, bit sooner than I expected but hey, there you go. I am staying in the club and I am gonna get my new project finished, but in the meantime..... Nissan V6 300ZX Twin Turbo 1998 Fairlady Auto Targa Top LWB 2+2 Rare Midnight Purple 86K Miles MOT till October 2017 History - Purple Haze JDM Import by Garry Warren (GazWoz) of the UK 300zx.co.uk Forum. First registered on a “S” Plate in October 2015. I am the first UK owner. The car was imported from warmer climes in southern Japan and has absolutely no rust, it’s in great condition, being the late 98 model, it is incredibly reliable. I have used her on the odd sunny weekends and attending 300ZX club car meetings. Most of the 300ZX club will know her as Purple Haze. Agreed Valuation Certificate (Lancaster Insurance) @ £8000 30/10/2016 Completely unmolested original twin turbo original 1998 model with subtle cosmetic OEM upgrades. Maintenance. No expense spared. October 2015 On arrival, she was taken straight to LA Autos in Shrewsbury and Lee Dent carried out fitting a new cambelt kit along with a full major service to both Engine and Gearbox. January 2016 I had the 99 spec rear lights made by Andy ( Phutumsh) of the 300ZX forum fitted along with a set of Mongoose catback stainless steel pipes, retaining the same design with twin chrome pipes each side as per original back boxes. Nice clean lines/look at the back now which suits the LP2 original colour. Not too loud, more of an enhanced growl on pick up than from the original back boxes (which I still have and will supply), making her look and sound just right. This car does not have an annoying loud drone on a run, she purrs along nicely and you can hear and talk quite easily. March 2016 Back to LA Autos for Lee Dent to carryout professional rustproofing/cavity wax (Dinitrol) of underside, chassis, doors & wings. May 2016 I managed to source and have rebuilt back to OEM spec by Andy (Phutumsh), a set of original **Altia illuminated rear quarter panel window shades, which are rare. Very rare. Andy also brought the original Altia illuminated rear centre logo panel back to life along with the original Altia sills which came with the car. See attached link… I also replaced 4 nearly new tyres all round as the camber was way out and had the first 4 wheel alignment camber adjustment carried out at a specialist centre (STS). August 2016 Fitted brand new HID 5000W headlamp kits. October 2016 I had to fit a set of new poly steering rack bushes and a new MOT was issued with zero advisories. November 2016 Annual Full service carried out again by Lee Dent at LA Autos, all lubes, filters, gearbox oil replaced and serviced, annual conzult check was also carried out. Lee fitted an Apexi power intake kit I purchased from ConceptZ Performance in the states https://conceptzperformance.com/apexi-507-n009-power-intake-kit-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32_p_513.php , (I will supply the original air filter box)too breathe a little easier. I also had the rear camber arms replaced with brand new adjustable ones from Outlaw products http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200SX-180SX-S13-Skyline-R32-300ZX-Z32-Rear-Camber-Arms-Outlaw-Products-/222280263365?hash=item33c0efa6c5:g:IuYAAOSwPCVX~1Uq and a second wheel alignment/camber check carried out at STS on a Hunter Hawkeye set up. The car is now running perfect. **Altia were OEM aftermarket options available from factory and this car has the distinction of being the only (known) 300ZX in the UK with all 3 original Altia OEM aftermarket parts fitted and working. Interior Full leather electric seats (driver and passenger) all round with only marginal wear on the driver’s side bolster. Suede effect door panels and glove box. Original blue tinted glass all round. Original matching Fairlady shag pile car mats all round. All electrics (including clock) are working with the dashboard LED bulbs having been upgraded by Andy (phutumsh) in a cool red glow. The car came from Japan with an expensive sound system/ICE that has a colour reversing camera fitted to an amazing Pioneer Carrozzeria set up with 7” popup/flip screen and Bluetooth. The DVD plays UK films and CD player has an external hard drive that copies each CD as you load it and replays it back. The speakers are upgraded with powerful but discreet tweeters in the tops of the doors and separate amps for the rear & door speakers. The sound system is excellent with a discreet sub-woofer in the boot. The only thing I cannot get to work in the UK is the built in Sat-Nav. Apparently it needs a revised OS upgrade. There is also a forward facing camera built in. Bodywork The Midnight Purple LP2 paintwork is a rare colour for the 300zx. There are one or two areas where a recent small and repairable scratch (thanks Storm Doris…NOT) on the top of the drivers wheel arch and a slight lacquer imperfection on the rear quarter panel with a couple of flecks on the front bumper are the only, minor, issues. All the rubbers and seals are in good condition and the targas don’t leak. She looks great and even better in the sunlight, the metallic paint flips from a metallic deep purple to black and gets a mention every time… Wheels These are 18” aftermarket alloys that came on the car, in great condition. 5Zigen Pro Racer GN+ Wheels and centre caps. http://www.neweraparts.com/Default.aspx?tabid=68&List=0&ProductID=459 Overall, Purple Haze is a superb and UK ready example of a reliable and appreciating classic 300ZX Z32 TT marque, the auto box is perfect, the turbos doing what they do best, the engine is faultless, car handling as it should and looking pretty much how it came from the factory. It’s a reliable and great looking car. The only reason I am selling her is I had picked up a ZX project recently and I am too far in to that project to pull out now, that and I just got made redundant. So the only reason I am selling her is simple, I need the cash. I will put up some recent photos but most of you know her anyway…. more details and photos etc. available, PM me. Cheers, Chris
