  1. **** it, go out with your mates - I am!!! :duffer: :D
  2. LOL! it shouldnt go in the rollers regardless of how low it is!! :smash: all MOT test stations are required to have a viewing area where anyone can ask to watch their vehicle being tested! (bloody customers!! :D )
  3. MOT regs state any vehicle with an LSD is not to be tested in rollers. dont apply to me as iv got plate testers!! :)
  4. ~400bhp at the crank is possible on stock tubs & injectors with the following: free flowing exhaust, induction kit, chip & boost increase to 1bar. underdrive lightweight pulley will help as will lightweight flywheel if a manual. you will also need an uprated clutch. if its an auto you will need an uprated fast road box when you blow it apart LOL! brakes & suspension will benefit from upgrades! also think about traction control cos 360deg spins arnt fun in a zed!! :D if its RWHP you are after then uprated tubs & injectors will be needed
  5. slight fluid leak from the front shock absorbers a taply meter is a decelerometer that sits in the car for testing the brake efficiency on the road. vehicles with LSD are not suitable for brake testing in rollers
  6. yes, it creates a restriction to the wastgates increasing boost pressure ;) http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29063
  7. drop my name for a discount with broadsure! id tell you how much i pay but would prob piss you all off!!
  8. also get it done by someone with experience of porting. it can actually be detrimental to performance if you just go grinding metal out of the ports without knowing where to remove it!
  9. LOL! its only a 5.5 AMG V8 out of an SL, I can price just an engine up if you like!! :D my manual was timed at 4.7 with basic mods ;)
  10. not really worth it IMO. many newer bigger turbos will spool up fairly quickly anyway. far too much agro/cost for the benefit TBH!
  11. start by checking & cleaning the connectors to the PTU, coil packs & injectors. the injector connectors are very common in corroding & may need replacing. coil pack connectors break & can cause misfires. PTU's are a common failure & can affect or or 1 (or more) cyls
  12. irishman between 2 panes of glass?? Paddy O' Doors twist on the theme: a dinosaur with 1 eye? a dyathink-e-saurus? a gay dinosaur? megasorearse a deer with no eyes? no idea, a deer with no eyes or legs? still no idea derr with no eyes, legs or cock? still no f***ing idea!!
  13. patch things up with your friend & blow them
  14. not replacing the flywheel now could result in expensive costs involved in having to redo the job again when it destroys the new clutch ;)
  15. 1) remove gearbox 2) replace clutch 3) refit gearbox :D it really is an easy job on a zed, no special tools required. done mine in around 3 hours on a ramp IIRC hardest part is if the exhaust downpipe nuts are siezed, they will need warming up to remove to save shearing the stud.
  16. I *was* only joking! (although i still think cars can be gay! MX5, audi TT, all started with the TR7 LOL!)
  17. 350Z is also a bit more gay & better suited to women!! :D
  18. LOL! get a 350 then!!
  19. manifolds: http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1818
  20. could have done almost anything! cooked head gaskets, warped heads, partial siezure causing damage to pistons/bores - do a compression test 1st bud!
  21. also juddering will prob be discs or worn tension rod bushes
  22. as said, will prob only give a small increase but is also a good safety measure when upping the boost. decent uprated sidemounts have been proven to give slightly better performance results than a FMIC unless running silly high power.
