  5. I used to like the noise my bike made when I pegged a playing card to the forks & it clicked in the spokes but I wouldnt do that anymore either!!:lol::lol:
  6. I agree with Si - pointless installing something that reduces performance! That bloody noise would drive me insane as well! :cursing:
  7. LOL!! I know - its been a long time coming but is underway now! :thumbup1: Have got a 99 spec rear spoiler waiting to go on to match the 99 front bumper. HID kit should help complete the look  Hopefully can enjoy a little of the car before the summers out then will drop the new engine in with the HKS turbos etc :punk:

  12. Yup, agree - is good if you want to ruin your car with one body panel! Not to my liking

  14. LOL! Sounds like my project! Mines finally going in this weekend for the bodywork, also have a new engine waiting to go in & a set of 19" Jades!! :cool3:
  15. LOL! I have had mine for a year with not one of the problems above!! Signal is always good, battery is fine unless you are constantly messing around playing games or on the net, NEVER had anyone say the phone is too quiet when I am speaking to people & you have to physically flip a switch to put it on silent which I have never done once?!!? :confused1: Oh & they are cool!! :whistling::cool3: Best phone I have ever had & if it was shite I would admit it & buy something else!!
  16. MOT testing can be confusing at times (I am an MOT tester) & often testers test to what they think are the correct regulations. Seatbelt regulations are a real over complicated nightmare for the MOT tester! The quote I gave was from the testers manual! One thing is for sure - no seat - not a reason for rejection! Paul
  17. Hi, The rear steering arms could be the inner joints on the HICAS arms where it attaches to the rear rack or the joints in the hubs - you will need to investigate to ensure you get the correct part! The front arms must be tested as per Nissans bullitin: http://www.300zx.org.uk/nissan_bulletin.htm Also an MOT special notice was released for this: http://www.motuk.co.uk/images/SpecialNotice05-93.pdf If the play is excessive then you will need new upper arms as the bushes are part of the arm (unless you upgrade to NISMO ones or poly bushes!) HTH :)
  18. They are just shims to set the valve clearance when used in conjuction with the solid lifters ;)
  19. Anyone fitted car.mad's smooth style skirts? :)
  20. Hmm, decisions, decisions! Im liking those Kaminari ones :)
  21. Hi Mark, hows things? :) Thanks - know of any pics? Anyone in the UK supply these? MJP is a Stillen dealer isnt he? Had a quick look on Z1 - pics not too great LOL!
  22. Hi, Well operation zed rebuild is moving forwards now (check out my link in my sig) & am having the sills replaced & a full respray. The main thing I am considering is some side skirts - what do you think, yes or no as am undecided (I know its personal preference!). My car styling is fairly stock & would like to keep it that way, so if any I would only choose some subtle looking ones (no comments like "da zed lookz well wikid wiv some vileside skirtz on it, I is only 13 and a half but is gonna get a zed when I is 17 n dey are da bomb on it, innit"!!) Any pics of some subtle ones - how about with door fill panels to match?! Also considering debadging the nose cone (no vents) - again, pics? So far I have a 99 spec front bumper, a 99 spec rear spoiler ready to go on, will keep stock rear bumper as I have never seen an aftermarket one that I like! HID front light conversion & may eventually get 99 rears. Does anyone do 99 side skirt copies?! Pics of my zed before the rust bug hit her
  23. Ok, the guy come in from the restoration shop & the car is finally going in on Saturday :nana2::nana2::nana2: They will totally prep the car, welding in the panels, making new panels where required, fill & prime ready for painting. Have spoke to my mate & once its done its going in for a full respray
  24. You dont need the seats in & trims make no difference. If there are still seat belts there but no seat then you dont test them: "If a belt is fitted, but there is no corresponding seat it is NOT considered to be a seat belt, for the purpose of this inspection." You would only test the belts if a seat is installed for the test. As long as the doors open both from the inside & outside there should be no problems - if you removed the interior door handle & there was no way of opening the door then this would fail. HTH :)
  25. Do you like the sleek car on the ramp in the corner?! :clown: Hopefully it will be again sometime soon!!
