  14. get this - nissan have told the bodyshop that you can no longer get the hicas link arms & have to replace the whole rack - £1113 +vat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is pushing the claim into write off territory phoned mike feeney again who told me what i suspected - complete & utter bollox!! so i'll be getting all the parts through mike now
  15. thats what i thought after reading a thread, but phoned Nissan & mike feeney, both of whom said thats not true & the UK bumper is still available. oh & yes to traction :( too late tho. was gonna get it anyway :o
  16. thanks for all the kind words & support guys. just had the bodyshop down & at the mo it all looks repairable. on a plus side iv just spoken to Mike Feeney about a 99 front end :D
  17. ok, still ****ed off but a bit more of sound mind now :( went to overtake on a nice clear bit of road & the old "back end whipped round trick" got the better of me. spun & hit another car. front bumper & wing. rear 1/4 panel & wheel stuffed in. quite bad. thankfully no-ones hurt. nice birthday prezzie for Sat for me eh?? :(
  18. too gutted to talk now. sooooooo pissed off. :( :( :(
  19. we had a similar prob on early veedubs when i worked for them & we used a thinner synth oil. merc vans went from EP90 to ATF in thier manual box  and many cars use engine oil in boxes anyway. IMO i dont think it will be a problem.
  20. well if you've put another rubber seal under the rad cap then, yes, this could cause your problems. for one it will raise the system pressure as the spring will have more tension on & second it may be still creating a seal when the pressure gets high & the cap tries to release it. Get a new cap!!!!!!!!!!
  21. it sounds like head gasket problem pressurising the system??? does it run rough/hot??
  22. get thinner arms! ;) :D
  23. anyone know of any common probs to look out for?? got a mate who wants one.
  24. do the dash lights go dim when you try to start?? does the starter make any noise at all? if the lights go dim & you just get a click or a slow whiring noise then its the battery. (if its really dead you may get no noise at all)
  25. hi Roy are they stock turbo's & what is the boost gauge showing when this goes on??
