  4. the support panel is directly behind the front of the bumper & is prone to cracking if its a fairly hard impact
  5. you can also bypass it by putting a pipe between the 2 hoses to keep you going. obviously you will have no heating until you fix it tho! ;)
  6. another pointless thread. time to lock the toys in the cupboard
  7. base idle is setting of the idle speed without any ECU control. once set the ECU then controls the idle via the idle control valve. it has nothing to do with the "lowest" idle speed!
  8. didnt realise you was away! :D
  9. LOL!! what, you mean youve not got air filters covering your IC's Stu?!!? :D

it will matter where the 12v & earth go to on the switch, it sounds like youve earthed the wrong part of the switch, ie not the illumination circuit!
  15. ouch! last time we saw a car like this in our workshop it had melted all the wiring off the battery, blown the alternator & fried a couple of control units :( what does the wiring look like coming from the battery?
  16. no mate, not a testable item :)

ps, if its an illuminating switch then the illumination side of the switch will need an earth too ;)

???? right - basic electric circuit here, you would take a 12v feed, usually from the light switch so it only comes on when the lights are on, to one side of the switch, out of the other side of the switch to the fog lamp to the bulb then down to earth. 12v-------------switch-------------bulb------------earth

  21. yup, iv got one. nice mod esp with the pulley too :)
  22. a boost leak tester will pressurise the whole system & allow you to test the IC's, you only need about 5-6 psi
