pull the carpet back & you'll see a wooden panel, 3 10mm bolts hold this down. the ECU is bolted to the floor under this

yup, also done mine. just watch out for the small springs under the plungers ;)

pump the pedal a few times with the engine off. then start up & try it again to see if theres any servo action going on

funny, iv seen loads of rust on imports but i have none on my UK car :confused:

Yup, sounds like the release bearing. if the cars stock then a genuine clutch will prob be best - try mike feeney at MJP in our traders section. or a decent clutch from a motor factors. if you want to mod then speak to smithy in our traders section for uprated jobbies.
