  1. yea - full international circuit! :thumbup1:
  2. Not sure on a zed but on modern cars it can for sure - if there is an airleak in the system then the O2 sensor can lean right out so it doesnt switch, the ECU sees this & flags an O2 sensor fault. As said - not sure if the zed ECU detects fault in this way or if it is just looking at the circuit of the O2 sensor as it is not as sophisticated as later OBD cars. Worth looking into however if you suspect an airleak! :)
  3. At Buckmore Park: http://www.buckmore.co.uk/  Have been there a few years ago & is a great international circuit for karting! Should be a good laugh!
  4. I think its essentially the same system as my girlfriends 2.0 tdi - if so the EGR vacuum cell is prone to failing - you need a vacuum pump to see if it holds a vacuum - if not replace the EGR valve. Its a common problem on the VW's IIRC
  5. so far to the best of my knowledge none of them leave the factory like that however which tells me something ;) Paint for me 100% I wouldnt even consider wrap!
  6. BTW the site on the link above has loads of helpful links to various mods, deletes & bypasses for the Zed :)
  7. the coolant pipe bypass mod is ditching all of the coolant pipes & hoses under the plenum - this makes the plenum removal a lot easier & reduces the risk of coolant leaks from all the pipes & hoses. The pipes are there to heat the throttle bodies to prevent icing - not really a problem unless you travel to Siberia a lot!! :D details here: http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/16304.html
  8.
  9. EGR is just there for emission control purposes, it lowers combustion temps to reduce NOx emissions. Although there is no real "gain" to removing it there is just one less thing to go wrong - EGR is generally only used at part load throttles - if it fails it could cause running issues at idle speed or under hard accelleration. arguably as EGR reduces combustion temperature you could actually be more prone to det - although as it is only operating at part load this is unlikely to be a real issue on a turbo engine running on full boost!
  10. I went for the R33 GTR upgrade - they are getting cheaper now & worth keeping an eye on ebay for. Direct bolt on job. Details here of my upgrade: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?150484-My-R33-GTR-Brembo-brake-upgrade!&highlight=
  11. you are definately only showing as a registered user under your avatar - stick a message in the membership section for admin to look into it if you think you should be subscribed
  12. I see - its amazing how we get side tracked. BTW I like your sig pic, you dont see many photo's in this size  ok, thats it - no one can beat that one!!
  13. jeez - where did this all stem from?! :D
  14. Cars that I have personally seen wrapped are far less than impressive close up! Some serious fading issues after a year or so too. I am sure there are varying qualities like everything else but not for me from what I have seen!
  15. yes - sorry, I meant the rears are a pig to do. :)
  16. its the flow rate of each port on the manifolds. There are other factors but basically the higher the flow the more capacity to run more power as you are removing restictions on the gas flow in & out of the engine
  17. bit of a pig to do apparently - andyp has done this
  18. if you believe it here are the flow results: http://www.300zxclub.com/store/popup_image.php?pID=2955&imageNum=2
  19. AMS pretty much ripped off the MS design - supposedly porting them further to give slightly more flow - but essentially they are the same!
  20. I had a mk2 1600GT with a black vynal roof - what ever happened to black vynal roofs?! I also had an Avenger Deluxe - what was deluxe about it I will never know!!
  21. I think it uses a rudder!!
  22. I am not a fan of the stock wheels or chrome wheels either for that matter but they actually look quite good! :thumbup1: I still wouldnt have them on mine however!!
