LOL! twas a long time ago. literally angle ground the roof off! we welded the doors shut to give a little (!) rigidity. it really was a nasty job just for my mate to cane around in for the summer! :wack:

I think the point nick was making was because someone else said it was a supercar! its not, as said it is a GT! in its day a very capeable GT & even today is fantastic, but a supercar it is not! who cares tho?! we all bought them for what they are, not what they are classed as :bow: iv driven an SL65 AMG bi-turbo which would keep up with, if not out perform most supercars of today. its still not a car that i would class as a supercar tho. same thing really. :)

yea, mine went the other day. went the whole hog & got a 120k kit with tensioners, seals, adjuster etc as said, belt has to come off

funniest was a couple of chavs in a Escort RS turbo - right on my tailgate, saw one turn to the other egging his mate on. thought "shall I?!?" dropped it down & floored it. was like a tiny grain of sand in my mirror by the end of the duel carrigeway :D porsches are funny too. had a 911 in front of me trying to race, kept flooring it then waiting for me - oh go on then. just kept on his a**e while we ragged around for a while, he obviously realised he couldnt out accelerate me & slowed right down again "ooh no, i wasnt trying you know" LOL!! :rofl:

its a fairly simple job for anyone competent. I changed all the pulley's & tensioner on mine too (120k kit) only thing to note is you need to wind a bolt into the side of the tensioner to stop the thing opening up before removing it.

ooh, be careful on that one, opens up the answer of "theres only room for 1 c**t in there"!! :D
