tottaly in shock
Mate, although I feel sympathy for what this persons family are probably facing, I also really feel for you...What happened was tragic, by the sounds of it there was nothing else you could have possibly done to change the outcome. What happened would leave most people in a complete state of shock, so take some time out, and talk to your friends and family for support...Kind regards.

Some good 1/4 mile times....
Great time to ask...But does anyone plan/have used Drag radials on their ZX???? (Not for this ZX, but other being worked on) As traction and the launch is essential for a good time at the Pod, however, dont wanna use if the stock Prop is not strong enough as have seen what can happen when the drag slicks really do their job (though not on a zx) :) Would hope to get a time of around 13.8 with the basic mods, providing the car isn't spinning the tyres and stepping out at the rear.

what to do
Again...I would have to say if you have already put a lot of work into it, keep :) ...If you decided to sell, you would do the repairs on the house, summer would arrive but you'd probably miss the car  :D Then if you went out and bought another ZX, you may ending up spending more just to get to where you were with the first... :) :) :)

Z tech aggressor chip
Think you have a very valid point...and I would be very interested in the results, as am yet to have the Ecu chipped and mapped accordingly, but feel strongly that although you can seriously modify the ZX its how well your ECU works for you and through good tuning that is an important factor on enhancing performance, and a serious test with dyno charts available would really help in making a choice of the selection of ECU chips available :D

Air Con Removal - Whos missed it?
Am still waiting for a warm enough day to benefit from having Air-con  :D But on the 2nd ZX which is currently being stripped ready for engine rebuild and some extra mods, as it is to be used for weekends/Pod days The a/c system will be removed to reduce weight and slightly enhance performance. If it was on a stock car with none/light modification then would keep,as it is a feature alot of people will expect to see when/if selling.

Hello from Mrs. ZX Mad
Yeh...Must admit have only seen the odd one or two round here  Have two Black J-spec TT's, Ones an Auto, and the other is A manual :D The autobox was a bit ropey, but after just one week without being able to use it we decided that if we were(me and the other half) going to have a second car, it had to be another ZX, and a manual became available at a very good price, so had to have it :D So the plan is to get to work on an Engine rebuild on the sick Z, Whilst still enjoying having the other to drive. Have to admit...and it makes others laugh too...But I've never been a day without reading something or doing something to do with these cars...Am obsessed  (Still have time for Shoes and pink ;) :D ) Its great to Hear from other like-minded women :hyper:

help the newbie!
I noticed on your first post you mentioned buying an Auto, and high insurance premium on your previous car have tempted you to the ZX, but if you are concerned about fuel consumption, add the savings of your insurance reduction to the increase in fuel, then remembering that you will own a car over 10 years old and factor in a possible 60k due service, other wear and tear parts then autobox failure, and the saving you make on the insurance may seem unjustified... Having said that, if you are seriously committed to owning A ZX, they are when well maintained an absolute pleasure to own and drive :D :D

10 second zx
Great time ;) Anyone gonna be doing the R.W.Y.B day's this year...And if so how you planning to get traction especially with our fabulous weather, any reccommendations on Drag radials and know how safe these are with the standard diff's?

First time buyers' mortgage......
Yep...Two years into a mortgage now and FTB, And yes the payments are very high, but had to start sooner or later... First thing I'd advise is to go and see an INDEPENDANT financial advisor, as when you go through an Estate agency they will often be connected to a specific selection of lenders that may not be the most suitable for your needs, the financial advisor should be able to guide you to the payment plan most suited to your requirements, a good advisor should leave you understanding the jargon and various mortgages on offer ;) Also try looking into ex-council/ ex-MOD housing in your area, this is often cheaper, shared ownership with housing association is also worth looking into. If you are buying in some areas now, know that some houses under certain price brackets will be stamp-duty exempt, allowing you more money towards a deposit...A good deposit will also get you the lower interest mortgages, although some will lend 100% to A FTB the interest tends to be higher. Wish you all the best in your search and hope all goes well ;) :D

All your opinions wanted...Legal Guru Here?
As has been said above...He has bought outside of EBAY, So therefore has no right to say sold with misrepresentation on advert... And if he after lengthy road test has bought the car 'sold as seen', then this is also usually sufficient to make any claim towards you very hard... More than likely some chancer out to get a quick buck... Hope all goes well for you mate :)
