Bulb 501 it is called by most manufacturers, they are the little all glass ones that have no metal bit!

Saw a black / blue zed (reg BIG PEP)drive past my car in Hinckley a couple of times tonight (I was in the liton tree pub). If you hadnt been in a zed id of worried you were car theives!!! If it wasnt a forum member they should be soon as they must have seen the 300zx.co.uk stickers in the window, i drove round to find it but couldnt see it. So if your there show yourself!!!

I open mine with the spioler!!! No doubt that will come off in my hand one day!! As for other reasons for the gap, knowing my luck it will be some magic water diverting thingy, but I wont find that out till ive got a boot full of rain and all my back lights blow up!!!:D :D

I reckon the old amber lenses on the zed make it look a bit dated, when i first saw them on jeff and tonys cars it just made them look so much newer. I will have some eventually, after the exhaust, tracker, respray etc etc etc so maybe in about 2005!!!!

Thats OK pete, cant expect anything else from a post whore like yourself;) Its suck to the bottom, I had to "modify" it a bit to fit but not bad for 10 mins work, wired it into the brake lights so now ive got 6 brake lights, no excuse for anyone to run into the back of me!!!:D Hmmm neons!!!;) I'll have to wait for them as you bought them all for yours!!!:p

So I put this in to fill it! (see next pic) Normally im not a fan of these extra brake light things but think it has filled that hole perfectly.

Only noticed the oher day, that there is a weird gap above the 300zx logo on the back of my car (see pic), I thought something had fell out until I looked at some older pictures of it and theyre all like that.

LOL!:D Most oils are safe to mix (with the exeption of engine/cooking oil/baby oil.....etc). But the general rule is if your using fully synthetic oil, and you add semi synthetic, it will degade the fully down to semi synthetic, same as if you added mineral to fully or semi it would degrade that down to mineral. There are odd exceptions to this rule but any oil which wont mix with another will have it written on the pack. Thus if you are running on semi, there is no point topping up with fully as you will gain nothing from it. But on complete oil changes the tiny pockets of old semi left in the engine wont be enough to degrade your new oil. And seeing as your changing the oil, no problem. So why am i rambling!!!:x:

I checked them out at work today they RETAIL at £8.99 each, if youve got a "Motormania" store near you they can get them for you within a couple of days if they havent got them in stock. 99% of motor factors can get hold of wix filters, if they are telling you otherwise its probably them trying to fleece you into paying more for higher priced ones. As a rule if they have either QH or moprod stuff in stock they can get wix, as its all the same firm and all comes out of the same warehouse!!!

Im in the same boat as you, mines knackered, dried out and squeaks like an old bed after about 5 miles driving (if that). Its going into Zedworld to be done soon for under 100 notes all in, about £40 for the part the rest for fitting. I know if I do it myself im likeley to break something, like I did to a calliper not so long ago (took it apart, cleaned all the pistons, seals etc, worked great, then buggered the thread putting it back on!!!), so now i leave it to the pro's!!!

Another thought, this will probably have to be funded beforehand as you cant just turn up and say sell beer at knock down prices to the members as it would probably come into some sort of licensing law or something, maybe we need to get everyone to either chip in beforehand, or use club funds so in effect the beer is given away and not sold:confused:

Also, if we're going with the beer tent idea, we'll have to get some sort of membership cards sorted, otherwise we'll have every tom , dick and scooby driving harry popping in for a brew!!!

Good idea, after seeing that (and top gear) i decided after we came back from the billing arms or whatever it is, to reheat a macdonalds beefburger on my plenum at about 2 in the morning!!! I'll never know if was that or the beer that made me ill!!!

Why dont we do a points system like sxoc, maybe have another subheading on the traders forums, where traders get a +1 for a good job etc and a minus one for a not so good job? Having said that, Ive just looked for it and cant find it so maybe they knocked that idea on the head:confused: O.K heres another idea a sticky poll at the top of each traders area, asking how you rated the service eg. 1. 0% to 10% 2. 10% to 20% 3. 20% to 30% through to..... 10. 90% to 99% 11. 100% I dont know if its possible but you could make it a non postable poll to stop ant angry comments etc, so people can only vote but not post. Then if someone starts saying things sabout traders they can be refered to the appropriate poll to vote on. Just an idea but i might work!!!
