Cool - I've got a few routes of enquiry left but if I can't get anything near decent then I'll have to give it a go. Renewal is on the 16th of August.

Do they not look for VAT numbers or anything like that? I've heard a bit about that online.

The Sierra is 25 years old and it's been on that policy for years now. You should hassle them on that! You could also try First Ireland or Carole Nash for classic. No harm in asking, thanks.

AXA (and most) will do a classic policy once the car is 20 years old. The auldfella has a Sierra on classic with AXA and will probably get the Porsche on it too next year (1996). Might try for trade insurance if I have no better option though, cheers!

Most of the main ones - still have to ring Liberty as their system won't pick up my reg. Working my way through every broker I can find at the moment. Latest one will insure for €3,477 and no problem that it's an import, but they won't give me a third party extension as I'm under 25... Even though I have one now... Not really an option to go without it with a Z for me

Age, engine size and import status... There's nobody in the industry here that really understands anything about cars.

I hear they were great here but the company had problems and was bought out by a shower of ****ers.

Looks like they're only up North. Yup.

I don't think they're active in ROI though :(

Renewal is less than a month away and although I've a few left to try the best quote I've got yet is just under €3,400. Anyone have a useful contact in the insurance industry? Car is too new for a classic policy.

Silca Key DAT15DP
I've a pair of these blanks, but having had one cut, it seems that the rubber stops it from being inserted far enough. Has anyone had any luck with this key? (I found one Australian post mentioned it - http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=322931) And what code is on the original (if any)?

Driver's side under dash vent
I never notice the small things like this or the blueish windows on my car until some anorak here points it out :) And I guess some imports do have this.

has anyone been in a car or bike at or above 200mph?
112mph is still the fastest I've driven, but I'm sure I've been a passenger at far higher! Haven't pushed the zed yet though :whistling:

Jules Bianchi
Tragic, shame he didn't die on impact though rather than this...

Car tax for my Zed
Costs me an extra €194 per year if paying by the quarter, keep your change!

What did you do to your zed today?
do you have a source for these?

found another new owner
Sure there were three other owners at Terenure, hopefully some will sign up

HIDs - the downside!
Just the owner's manual, hilarious diagrams in it! Yeah that would probably work
-
HIDs - the downside!
I think it's from that brochure that Iangreenfield has. And I'm not sure it's an actual picture!

HIDs - the downside!
Any idea what kind of xenon bulbs came as OEM? They're a bit blue (see pic) so I'd guess about 8000K?

Looking for a pair of clear or red rear side markers, including housing as one of mine is cracked and letting in water. Posted to Dublin please.
