  1. Insurance was the least of my concerns :p
  2. He must be loaded!
  3. We're having a bit of a renaissance by the looks of it.
  4. It would want to!
  5. Somewhat positive news this morning - confirmed comprehensive quote, quite generous with benefits if I'm honest, for €3,382. This is the only underwriter that would even quote me so it's good to have it confirmed that the car being an import isn't a problem. Only downside is I don't think they'll give me a driving other cars benefit due to age (I have it now, and with a Z it's hardly increasing risk!). It would be a shame to think of all that money that would be better spent on maintaining the car though, that's the only thing that really bothers me :( Can't see a trade policy being significantly cheaper but I'll still look into it before I make any decisions. Named driver is also unlikely as when I asked AXA for myself, they told me to come back when I'm 30!
  6. Got an email with further details from them this morning. Most of the systems used by insurers here only seem to pick up models up to '96 or '98.
  7. Yep I tried them since you mentioned before. No luck I'm afraid, but thanks
  8. I'm not sure it is over there though - granted mine is a 2+2, but it cost the same despite being six years newer, rare edition and in better condition (comparing sheets anyway). That one also has a replaced panel so may have had an accident.
  9. That was quick! Seems like a very optimistic price though.
  10. Haven't heard of any limited mileage policies available other than classics? Other than that I wouldn't say it's a weekend car although I only do about 6,000 miles a year anyway. Problem with the van would be having nowhere to put it! Trade policy is still worth a try but I'm not sure it would be any cheaper for me tbh.
  11. It's a disgrace in the first place that they can create legal requirements for things like insurance and car testing and then let private companies monopolise the market.
  12. It's also been mentioned in relation to this that vehicle condition is a factor in 0.2% of claims. I think this is really their way of excluding groups they find undesirable. Campion will cover me privately but without driving of other cars, so not very practical with a Z. Have yet to look into trade policy or named driver but it's up there!
  13. More great news today! http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/two-companies-refusing-to-insure-cars-made-before-2000-687799.html
  14. You'd want to be skeptical of anything like this. The guy is (supposedly) in a foreign country and has poor English. He's selling rare and discontinued parts for peanuts. He might well actually have a Z32, as he must have some knowledge of the market demands. He probably even has the parts based on the pictures he posted, but is that enough to trust him?
  15. 23/07/2015 - 1994 Z32 Is that the later non-airbag wheel that's been mentioned lately?
  16. I don't have any earlier one for comparison, but the gear change is amazing!

  18. Yeah I can imagine it'd be bothersome if you do a lot of motorway driving, but I've never had it on my own cars so can't complain really. I think it was still an option though except on the version R.

  20. A lot of people say that, but other than NVCS I can't think of anything that I would miss!

  22. Liberty told me they wouldn't quote anyone on a car of that power. It's funny when they straight out lie to you. No luck with Kilbridge either Richie, said they couldn't quote for it.

  24. Price will vary wildly based on condition, and availability of a model like that won't be great within the UK. Mine was an import and came to just under €10,000 by the time it was in the country - 2000 LWB manual non-turbo R. It's in above average condition (for here, probably not for Japan). All manuals are five speed, and all LWB are t-tops.
