Just back from an early NCT. "Flew through it"! :) Interestingly, all of the measurements on brakes, suspension and emissions have improved since last year (aside from ovality). The car weighed 40kg less, down to 1,524kg, so that may be it - must be the Japspeed back-boxes and ditching the spare that account for that.

Aren't there displays for AT functions such as overdrive?

I know, but I'm not willing to pay for one!

I'd love one of those AMS timing covers just for peace of mind more than anything else.

There are a few available from dealers right now. You'll pay a bit more but you could end up waiting a long time with auctions; it's impossible to predict.

Welcome! Version R carries a higher price tag, but it's worth it :p Expect to pay at least $7,000 for a decent NA and $11,000 for a TT at auction, for the car alone. The later model (10/1998-08/2000) is the more desirable.
