  1. Okay, thanks guys. How much would new hicas balljoints or propshaft bearings be?
  2. Could a broken exhaust pipe (rust holes) cause vibrating from the back of the car which you would feel straight trough the seats? I have been considering buying a Z from a used car shop over here for a longer time, and otherwise it is quite nice, but I'm just very afraid about that vibrating.. I think it is the back wheel bearings, but the salesman (obviously, he want to sell the car before the vinter) insists on that it's the exhaust pipe that causes it. You can feel it stronger when you drive in specific speeds. Does someone know what this could be? Ken
  3. Hey! I signed up in August and this is my 399th post
  4. I wish I would have enough spare money to buy this one, driven only 900 miles. :o http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-300ZX-TWIN-TURBO-973-ORIGINAL-MILES_W0QQitemZ4579542713QQcategoryZ6398QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. Yeah, I noticed as I watched through cars for sale that there where very few turbo Z's compared to N/A's. This doesen't really matter for me though at this point, in my oppinnion the N/A is already quite powerful with 220 BHP.
  6. Has anyone imported a Z from the US? I've been looking at US used car sale websites and the Z's seem to be quite cheap over there. I have relatives living over there so they could get someone to find a good one, but is there something specific with the Z's in the states I should know? Ken
  7. Looks like a spacecraft to me mate :) What car is it built on? Ken
  8. You could try to take up the ECU and make sure there are no corroded parts etc. My father had a similar problem with his Porsche and they tracked it down to the ECU, which leaked in water and caused it to corrode. He bought a new one which was very expensive by then, and the old one started to work after he tried cleaning it a couple of months later...
  9. I think that is something like "killed you newbie"...
  10. I love those led-lights :) I have been planning on buying them if I get a Z. But I don't think they fit very well to light colours, like them better on dark Z's...
  11. You could always buy a crashed LHD and take the needed parts from it. I was also btw interested in converting one from RHD to LHD, as the ones in Britain are quite a bit cheaper. The price difference could be because they are quite rare as you said, where I live I've still never in my hole life seen a Z32 on the road (Just the couple I've tested so far, and they have all been for sale by companies) Ken
  12. Hello Colin, Yep, I'm looking for a LHD. The import tax to Finland depends a little bit on the year and the mileage/condition, but it is around 5000-7000€. I would be really glad if your mate (Is he a native Finn btw?) could take a look for me if he just has time to. I've been looking around here to, but the cheap ones use to be in a quite bad condition compared to the price if you would import one yourself. What does the Z's cost in Belgium? You can e-mail me on ken2zx@hotmail.com if you really would like to help me find a decent Z :) Ken

Welcome buddy, these guys really know what they are talking about, and I'm sure you'll have a great time. :)
  14. I did :) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=57456&page=2&pp=15
  15. I've seen some post here about people converted their Z's from left hand drive to right hand drive. How much would it cost to convert a right hand drive to a left hand drive? Is it hard to do? Ken
  16. Just saw the price, and it sounds really good to me. I will probably buy one as fast as I (hopefully) get my Z :)
  17. That sounds really good to me, and I would definitely buy one if the price would be right. :)
  18. Okay, now I've seen it. Its a TOTAL mess. It is brought from the US where it was going to be thrashed by a insurance company who had taken it in. It's leakin oil all over, and there is a clicking sound from the gearbox when you press the brakes. At first it wouldn't even start, and when it did I thought I would die in the smell of exhast and petrol. It didn't go even, and sometimes it even almost shut down. It would probably cost more than 10 grand euros to get it fixed. So no deal there.. I offered him a little money for taking it though (as reserve parts) so lets see if he can't get it sold, I'm the proud owner of a nonworking N/A SWB Z :p
  19. A little typo there :) ..call to a pre chosen number...
  20. Sounds like an nice idea :) I was also thinking about hooking up a cellphone to the alarm, and as it goes of it will call to a pro chosen number.
  21. The door is an obvious Photoshop. Just look at that angle. And why is the glass grey? :)
  22. I couldn't go there today :( But if his just at home tomorrow I'll go then. He told that one of the things that hold the wheel straight (sorry I don’t know the English word for it, but there is a pic below) is bent. I guess this isn't a good sign, and there is probably much else bent due to that. Does anyone have any experience about this? Btw, I saw an add on used car sale website where there was a N/A Z LHD in London for sale. I can post up some pics and contact details if he answers on my e-mail, maybe someone of you know him :) Ken
  23. Thanks :) Btw SuffolkZX, I agree with legrath, it's a really nice install. Now you just need some sort of tube to cover up the cables in the upper corner :)
