  1. Could someone post up a pic of the A alternative, I cant see it as I'm not subscribed yet...
  2. The 3D wasn't really "real" 3D, take for example a tree or a lamp, it would look the same from whichever angle you look at it's the same image you see. I don't remember if it was like this in Quake 1, but the technique was widely used back then. Quake 1 was released May 31, 1996 :)
  3. It would be really fun to meat up with you guys, but the distance is quite long. However next time I come to Britain I really hope I can make it to one of your meetings :)
  4. oh, and you can get Quake 1 for the Ipod
  5. It could be even smaller than that. Remember that before the cd's became more poplular in the mid-late '90 everything was stored on 1.44mb floppies.
  6. Bump! Any good mate?

  16. Okay, found a VCD. The video files are .dat files and they are located in the MPEGAV folder. They are called AVSEQxx.dat and to open them in Windows Media Player you open WMP and go to 'open..' and locate the right folder and then you choose "Show all files" and then you just double-click on the first AVSEQxx.dat file. Every .dat file in that folder is a video file, but the biggest should be the longest. Hope this helped :) Ken
  17. Sorry, can't remember how the VCD is built, but it on the SVCD it is in a folder called MPEG2
  18. And if you can't still open it download the Gordian Knot codec pack from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gordianknot/Gordian.Knot.Codec.Pack.1.9.Setup.exe?download it's the best codec pack I know of. Note that the Gordian Knot had some light spyware attached durning the first versions, but I think they deleted it later. But I would still run ie. Ad-Aware or Spybot Search & Destroy after to be sure. Ken
  19. Couldn't find anything but a SVCD, sorry. But check for a file named AVSEQxx.mpg and open it using Windows Media Player
  20. You should be able to play it without downloading any additional codecs, as it is MPEG2. But the file you have to open doesen't have an extension, I'll check in a minute.
  21. I really hope he won't get me banned because of these, hehe :)
  22. I made a zoomed version of the fly for all you real Chunk fans out there :) 6. Flying Chunk (Slowmotion and Zoomed):
